$17 Outdoor Smart Plugs (WiFi) - works with Alexa and Google Home

In this video, I setup two wifi smart plugs to control my outdoor Christmas lights. My lights are connected to multiple outlets in different areas of the house, so these smart plugs allow me to control all the lights at the same time.

right, but once you got it setup, you can turn it on from the app or voice.

I don’t know about you but I need to start un-automating my house... 1) i’m gaining weight sitting and watching all the things happen. 2) if anything happens to me my wife will have no idea what to do and end up sitting in the dark 😂😂

Any wifi connected device goes through this type of setup. You turn it on, you find the network, you put in the password. These devices don't have a screen, so the app has to connect to it first. Then you should be able to configure and be good to go.

Bought and returned... couldn't get it working. Now seeing the invisible check mark. lol These units that don't work with anything other then 2.4 only are a waste of time. Good unit likely otherwise. But the same sort of thing off the shelf at costco that worked on the first try.

Good idea. However, the setup seems too complicated for a simple plug.
