I was literally just looking into making my comp workflow easier, and I didn't even have to wait for someone to upload the perfect video!!

Did the author or someone have such a strange moment? In the session, recording is constantly in the "take folder" mode and suddenly... after a couple of hours of operation, this function is disabled and it is impossible to return it! There is no entry in "take folder" mode. No settings help. It remains to go back to the last saved file or create a new project.) Has anyone encountered an unexpected termination of this function in the project?

YES, one can 'break' the comping - I just did retakes on double bass tracks with two mics because I couldn't fix it; now try to figure out how to set up Quick Swipe for choosing between the two takes (each with two mics), may have to use Mute - automation OR cut and move segments or?

Awesome tips I love this channel! very helpfull! But I would consider recording with a bit of pre-roll so the initial transient does not get cut off at the start if you are a bit early, or is there a feature now that takes this into consideration?

What if I have too mics and two takes and wish to quick swipe comp between the two takes and maintain the two mics for each chosen segment?

Nice tutorial but nothing worked for me,… maybe because I have a midi track ? I have a colored area that plays and a greyed out area that doesn’t play,…. and i can never get them both to play,… any suggestions?

Great vid! In the thumbnail for this you show different sections of a single track in different colours? You can't actually do this in Logic can you? A track can only be one colour?

Thanks for this video! Is there a way to fade in comp tracks without flattening?

Yeah....this would be great...except that my mouse turns into a marquee tool when I hover over the takes....and won't change to the vertical line mentioned in this vid....so no chance of editing.....anyone know how to fix that ?? Other wise a great vid and series...thx

Maybe you have marquee click zones enable in the settings. Check your preferences settings

I'm having an issue when I flick through comp takes to listen to them while playback is happening each time I switch it takes about 1 second for the audio of the new take to kick in. Its really frustrating because I just want to quickly bank through and get an idea of the general vibe of the different takes but each time if I flick through while its playing I get this 1 second delay before the newly selected take kicks in. is this normal behaviour? I've literally got no plugins, buffer set to 32 and top spec mac studio so can't see why there should be a latency with this. I'll try updating logic. Nope. Still get the 1 second delay on the latest logic. Man what a bummer. is there anything I can do to fix this?
@MonsieurVersatile Жыл бұрын
This isn't normal behaviour at all. The comps play absolutely seamlessly. Have you tried doing it in a new project in case the current one is corrupted?
@thejuice1254 Жыл бұрын
I tried a whole variety of things but I don't recall if I was doing it all in the same project or not. I spoke to apple support and they didn't mention the new project thing they said I needed to update my OS I said no way man I use a 100 different apps updating my OS is hell on earth. Will test again at some point @@MonsieurVersatile

Sorry Glenn but products don't have intrinsic prices. The price is 100% determined by what people are willing to pay for it. There is no such thing as an "inflated price" because a price tells you absolutely zero about a thing's value.

Lol, I must have had this window open while I was also listening to a Glenn Fricker video and ended up here when I wanted to leave these comments on his video. Whoops
