Back then th7 had only 2 air defenses. 10 dragons and 3 lightning spells was the best army for th7, because you theoretically had to deal with only one air defense. Later on Supercell made it so you get the 3rd air defense on th7 instead of on th8.

Another thing they changed over time is the destroyed Th10 optic. I mean it was only 2 or 3 years ago but before the change if someone destroyed a TH10, there was still the Lava below the ground. Now if you destroy Th10 it looks like destroying every other TH level

I don't think many people remember this, but you could visually place your buildings in the water. For people with a slow connection, after the village initially loaded, there would be a time when the game would still buffer, and you could place the buildings in the water. I think there are probably a few videos of it as well.

6:03 I don’t use the train button much, I almost always search for my barracks, spell factories, or siege workshop. And when I say search, whenever I design a base, I make sure I put my barracks at the bottom. (Before the barracks update, I just made sure one of my four barracks was at the bottom.)

For the extra battle time entry, never forget it was originally clan wars that had longer time before that (reasoning was for more tactical attacks, this was then moved to normal attacks, then removed entirely

Remember to gain elixir how you would train whichever troop was being upgraded just before the upgrade finished to untrain them to gain the difference in price. Like train mass giants right before the upgrade finished then untrain and gain 1000's more elixir.

The reason they added the extra walls was because at th 11 there was too many buildings and they expanded the home base so you can fit everything in well, so they added more walls so you can fit the bigger base a little better.

Does anyone remember during the winter event back then, there was a time you can make a Santa spell? Also, archer death sounds are different from today. Edit: I also remember you used to queue training when you were searching for battle since training time took forever. Edit 2: Hero's abilities did not automatically activate when the hero was about to die. Heroes used to die before they could use their ability

I remember clan wars years ago, you can see the opponents war base layout during preparation day. So some players use different or troll layouts during preparation day to fool the enemy clan. Today you see the enemy's home village layout in war during preparation day (lucky if helshe has the same war layout) Also another small thing in clan war, before war is exactly 2days (48hours) but SC reduced it by 1hour. Now it's 23hours preparation day and 24hours war day.

Funfact: they changed the attack time back to 3mins because queenwalks were way to overpowered back in the day. Those extra 30seconds made that you could basically queenwalk the entire base and after like 2/3 of the base was gone you used your hogs to clean up.

I could be remembering this completely incorrectly but seeing as it would've been over 10 years ago, I really can't be sure. I (think?) traps used to not even have a rearm button, and after a trap went off, you'd literally have to go back into the store to rebuy the trap and then put them back to where they should be. So ofc not only were these traps not upgradable, a trap was like single use and would need to be bought again every single time. It was a massive hassle and I think most people just didn't even buy traps because of it. Especially things like default bombs which did nothing at high level, and low level players didn't want to spend resources on something that would literally delete overnight. It was also obnoxious as hell to need to remember ur specific trap layouts and seeing as war wasn't a thing, there were no stakes at all.

Being able to attack an attacked war base (not 3-starred yet) where last attacker left off. I remember that back in first two days of Clan Wars when it was introduced in 2014. Someone failed to 3-star a base, say, 64% 2-star, you could start your attack on that same base at those exact destruction % & stars and just clean up.

Prior to the addition of the shovel, you had to make your village as large as possible and spaced properly to save seasonal/holiday items outside of the buildable area. And of course if you were a part of Peter17$AWESOME trying to get the gem box to spawn in the center of your base and then building the base around it... my base is still like this, lol

The old villager lady model and when you had to wait for your king and queen to regenerate after after battles. That was annoying cuz the new army that was trained would come out and you’d have to wait for your hero’s to regenerate.
