The bad part is she is right. Bad coaches, teachers, doctors and police officers get a free pass to go some where else all of the time. Get to may complaints well lets just get them out of here so we don't sued. How can you sit at home and see something like this unfold years later when you knew this person should have been banned from their profession for ever at a minimum and you could have done something to stop them? How can some one do that and sleep good at night. In my opinion that makes you an accessory.

I know how you feel, how all of these survivors felt. I was abused many times from a toddler age, with my sacred places' which were not only violated, but were mutilated as well. When I tried to tell my mother, she scorned me and called me a liar, which destroyed my trust in her, from then on. I have suffered before there was a voice anywhere. Then, when I had my own children later on, being older and wiser, I fiercely, sacrificially, and successfully made sure that my children were saved from such an "Evil" disintegration of a human's place in this world, because, as I know so very well, most victims really don't want a place in it. And I wanted my children to have confidence, trust, and hope, unlike survivors who so often, no longer have those Within them. The road is long, and the best thing you can do?... trust yourself. If you know it is wrong, then you have already proven yourself good, and honorable. And Yes, When victims become Survivors,... They change the world. Remember Love if it is the last thing you want to cherish in this world, this time, and this place. Because those who do not have Love, or desire protection or Respect for the Unity of hearts and humanity in this world? Those are the ones who do not have a place in it. The culture of silence is over.

I have nothing but respect for this girl/by now woman. I don't know if I would have the guts to stand up like she did and be so eloquent. I hope this guy lives a long time with all his fellow prisoners knowing what he did.....

Hella thoughts, words and demeanor from a 17-year old. I like her anger and disgust and believe she will indeed put this behind her. She’ll accomplish whatever she sets her mind to.

She talks a little bit too much. She's so annoying.

fems are evil She was only 15 when she was sexually assaulted by her doctor in whom she had a complete trust. Maybe cut the young girl some slack. It was very traumatizing, as it would be for a young man victimized by this sordid excuse for a human being.

Heron Miah ... go and take a look at Nassar reading his statement then come back and let us know what you think of him 'looking at a script' ... he has no heart for it to come from where his abusive behaviour is concerned. Nassar looked pathetic, robotic and without remorse (except for himself of course) whereas all of the people reading their Victim Statements were direct and behaving appropriately.

I really believe when a gymnast is able to tell her abuser how she feels, is a great step to healing, to give her a voice and help her to stand strong. I’m so happy these athletes were given the opportunity to speak to this POS!!!!! With their true feelings, let him know what he did was far from okay.

What a brave, thoughtful, and well spoken girl. Still, one thing bothers me- he was first accused in the early 90s- his wife HAD to have known. Whether she chose to block it out or didn’t even care we will never know. But she definitely knew.
