This is how I changed my fuel filters on my Massey Ferguson 2607H tractor. All 2600H series tractors should be similar.
I am not a mechanic, an employee of Massey Ferguson, or a dealer. This video is to show what I did, not necessarily what you should do. Consult your owner's manual and local dealer.

Your fuel filter is huge compared to mine. Makes mine look like a thimble. Good tip about having that bucket handy. Nice music. Gave it a sort of Zen of tractor maintenance feel.

I thought it was kind of like alpha waves. It's a subtle background that kills some of the annoying breathing and, for me, helps me focus (sometimes). Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great maintenance video Logan, I wish the fuel filters on the BX were as easy to replace as on your Massey 🙋🏼‍♂️🙂👍🏻

Great video. I just purchased my Massey Ferguson 2606H and like it quite a bit. Thanks for the preventative maintenance video. Any more hints you have would be greatly appreciated. I will check out the rest of your videos as they are quite clear and concise. I appreciate that when you had a problem you included that in the video. Thanks again.

I think you'll love it! These babies are relatively simple and mine has been an absolute tank so far. The more I think about it, the more satisfied I am. I don't do hay, but I would assume they'd be a great tractor for that as well. Just beware the sun if you don't have a canopy (I don't either).

Logan, I also have a 2607H - love it, but am constantly trying to decipher the owner's manual. The maintenance schedule says to replace "Primary fuel filter element" at 250 hours, and the "Fuel filter" at 500 hours. Had you previously changed just the paper element in the "Primary" and are now changing both? How many hours do you have on the meter? I have learned to not bother contacting AGCO for questions on this line of tractors, as they refer you to the dealer who then has to contact AGCO themselves. Just trying to figure out whether I should change both filters at 250 hours, or just the Primary. Thanks for any insight you can give. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through this!

I'm only around 170 hours if I remember right. I think I changed the first filter in line from the tank. I would recommend stocking up on all filters because they were hard to get for a while.

Why does everyone want the fluid in the tires instead of rear wheel weights?
@FabbedFun
@FabbedFun Жыл бұрын
Dollars per pound, I think liquid ballast may be cheaper. I'm starting to really appreciate layered steel weights, though. If you need to take them off and flip the wheels, it would be much easier than trying to handle a tire with fluid. I had an old Case 1070 that had cast wheel weights mounted between the wheel and the axle. That may be the ultimate location for a wheel weight (if the design has space).

Great video. I have a 2607H and will be doing this service very soon. I noticed you have your wheels flipped to the widest stance. Can you advise if it will fit between the fenders on a standard car hauler/equipment trailer or is a deck over trailer needed?
@FabbedFun
@FabbedFun 2 жыл бұрын
I don't have a trailer, but I think I'm going to have to get a deck over. You can have them adjusted in around 72". Mine are currently 83" but can actually go out two more settings if I remember correctly. I have a set of wheel weights from Ben Kennedy I would like to put on but my tires are loaded and I dread moving them around to flip the dish in and set the rim out. With a loader, bucket, implement, and loaded tires, you'll probably be sitting around 9k-10k lbs.
@hammerangel1304
@hammerangel1304 2 жыл бұрын
@@FabbedFun heard that and thanks for the response. My tires are loaded as well, so flipping them is going to be a fun task. I have a 24’ equipment trailer with 7k axles, the only bad thing about it is that it has fenders on it which, will restrict how wide I can set the wheels. Guess I’ll go break out the measuring tape…

Did you only bleed the one filter housing? I noticed both housings had bleeder screws. I like the primer button on that tractor better then the old style. How many hours you got now?

Should you fill both filters with fuel before installing? I read somewhere to turn the ignition a few times to start the fuel pump before actually starting it. I needed to see this prices for my 4707 which looks the same. Thanks.

The 4707 looks like a beast, but it's a little bigger than what I really needed. I am glad the video helped. Let me know if you run into any new circumstances with the 4707. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Do you leave the key in the "on" position for about eight seconds before cranking? I usually do that on a cold start and it helps. I've had it die a few times if I start it cold and immediately raise the 3 point all the way up with a heavy attachment while it's at idle. Waiting 10 seconds after it's been running or setting the RPM a little higher prevents that. I haven't really had any "issues" other than it being a normal diesel engine on cold days.

The Agco numbers are ACP0214360 (might be that Bosch), and 3604411M1 (which may be the one that goes inside the cup). I have a box (I think it was oil filter) that says 1447082M2. I also have a hydraulic filter (I hear there are two types for the 2607H and you need to know which style you have. Mine takes ACP0647840. I hope this helps!
