My 2011 civic coupe has a little over 100,000 miles. I just did maintenance and unfortunately had to replace the passenger side engine mount. It seems alright now as it was vibrating before due to the mount, but now is fine. So I'm planning on keeping it for who knows how long.

These things definitely have a tendency to eat through engine mounts, but otherwise very reliable. Keep it going!

When I worked at Honda, I remember a couple high mileage civics. A 2007 automatic with over 300k miles on the original engine and transmission. Another was a 97 civic manual with over 400k. Original engine, original but rebuilt transmission with one clutch replacement.

That's amazing. I've heard the automatics can sometimes be a weak point when they get higher mileage

Before I knowing everything I know about cars today, I had purchased a 2015 civic ex. I heard a lot of trash talking about the CVT so it got me worried because I didn't know what that was before. I got it with 15K miles and now has 43K. Only little issue is when I reverse out from my parking spot and start coming to a stop before I shift to drive is that I hear this deep sounding cracking like sound from the rear. It only does it when I drive the car for the first time in the day and goes away after that one time. Idk what it is. Other than than I am VERY happy with my civic. Growing up I was always told to make that as my first car and no regrets so far.

The only negative comment is that 173k miles on a Honda or Toyota shouldn't really count as high mileage!
@HighMileageReviews4 жыл бұрын
Fair point! I felt, however, that 173k for a relatively young car (only 9 years old) is still respectable. But I agree, low mileage for most Japanese cars!

Seems pricey. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on any rebuilt title personally. But I don't know the market for these cars, so if you're comfortable paying that and there's plenty of paperwork, then go for it

I got my first car on September 12 2019 it’s a 09 Honda Civic lx silver it had 103,730 miles and now I have 112,700 something lol I can’t remember but the only things I need to get fixed is a vibration I hope it’s engine mounts and I need to either get a new cowl or just get mines fixed cause it’s a annoyance lol and I need to get new trim lol and a dent out of my truck but other than that it’s literally perfect no rattles or rust besides on the trunk oh and also no faded paint but I do have paint chipping on the edges on the doors but I wanna get it repainted one day

I'd reference your owners manual for that, but typically those are replaced as needed. If your car is sagging or doesn't quite soak up bumps like it used to, maybe it's time to replace
