I'm thankful that there's so much good information out there on women's change of life right now! I suffered for the last 3 years with many symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, heart palpitations, hair falling out, dry EVERYTHING. Finally, at age 45 I've found a provider who is willing to treat during Perimenopause. I'm on the estradiol patch and oral progesterone and it's been life changing! I'm also happy to get the jump on these failing hormones and preventing heart disease, brain disease, and bone loss!

Thankyou for giving such beneficial insight to this daunting topic. I have realised that menopause symptoms have been working on me for some time! I had thought although still having periods things were fine but recently I've suffered 4 day migraines that don't go away until my period appears which now only lasts 2 days. My hair had gone into telegon effulium a couple of years ago , body aches in joints, high BP just everything out of sync, iam positive now the drop in oestrogen has contributed to these ailments and is now shouting at me via migraines and overheating that I need HRT. From listening to you I feel I should ask for estradiol patch and progesterone pill utrogestan for 2 weeks! Tomorrow I see the Doctor . My mother and auntie got no HRT and both have auto immune disorders . My mum was only 31 when she got ill also . Many thanks, Carrie

Wow! Amazing information! Thank you. Brilliant woman. No one ever taught us that estrogen is this important and that there are receptors in the whole body! And it's responsible for so many important processes and functions within the body. My mind is blown, in a good way. The lack of studies for and on Women is disgraceful! This is pure unconscious misogyny, As complex and unique as our physiology is, wow. Profoundly disturbing. But SO grateful to find Dr. Gersh and your channel. Thank you! 😃🙏♀️💜

My mother died from a brain anyerism at 46 after having had a complete hysterectomy. My grandmother made it to 88, but suffered greatly from high cholesterol/BP, heart attack, recurring bladder infections, vascular dementia, then a fall and hip fracture which lead to her death. I believe all these issues were from lack of estrogen. I am now 46 starting symptoms of perimenopause and looking forward to taking bioidententical hormones.

I’ve decided to pay out of pocket to consult with Dr. Gersh’s PA, via telehealth, because I’m tired of butting my head against the fossilized “health care” system. It’s a shame we have to pay cash for real health care.

Stat away from birth control. She stated in the podcast that Progestin was harmful to women. What do you think is in birth control.. Progestin... bio identicals.. creams/grls/pessaries. Stay away from oral. The liver has to process it and it can convert into something else in some women.

Magnesium Glycinate at night. Magnesium flakes and Epsom salts in a bath or a foot bath. Magnesium spray. Vitamin B complex high doses unless contraindicated. Vit D3 and VitK2 daily for bones. Bio identicals creams such as USP Progesterone cream.

It makes perfect sense to me when you see the agenda and the profits been made by this corporations. They know exactly what is wrong its always a hormone deficiency.

Could you please help me understand the best way to start bhrt? Specially when it comes to starting estrogen estradiol cream, progesterone, dhea and testosterone? How long ahead should I be on estrogen estradiol and progesterone before I start testosterone?... thank you 😊
@russvet4 ай бұрын
The good scheme is 1- DHEA daily (from low doze about 10 mg) and Progesterone in capsules in the second part of the m.cycle And then in 1-2 months 2 - Estrogene in cream/gel in the first part of the m.cycle and Testosterone in gel (if needed, probably not daily)

My hormones are red normal to Optimal levels during the cycle protocol and I still feel depression and anxiety though I have a T3 that is low could that be the cause of the depression anxiety
@hiya13995 ай бұрын
Yes. Low Free T3 levels can cause low mood and increase in anxiety. You want your Free T3 to be mid-range or higher.

Dr.Gersh, I’m on Estradiol patches, was applying estrogen face cream on my face & neck, had blood work done & my estradiol level was 58.4 from March to May 2024….mynipples began feeling very tender so assuming I was getting too much estrogen. I would love your opinion please……would too much progesterone make nipples very tender also?
@jessicahitchens69264 ай бұрын
Your not on supplements that's why you are sensitive. You also need to be on a Progesterone in combination with Estradiol. The cream shouldn't have Estradiol in it. It should be Estriol and Progesterone.... this is the topical cream for face and neck. You should not be experiencing sensitivity. Something is amiss.
@doodieevanshenagan33304 ай бұрын
@@jessicahitchens6926 Hey….i am on 200mg of Progesterone pill I take at night. I remember Dr.Robert Mathis say starting too much Estradiol right away can cause breast tenderness…..my dr started me on 0.1mg patches, then I began bleeding a bit like Dr Gersh speaks about, which means my uterine lining is shedding which is good❣❣ so I’m happy with that, still have nipple sensitivity. What supplements are you talking about that I need? I do take compounded testosterone, also take B vits., Selenium, Vit.D3 & K2……let me know what I’m missing. Oh I also take Benfotiamine for diabetes & on generic Mounjaro….5 mg shots once a week

Does that mean we should stay on birth control instead of switching to HRT ?
@charleedell929 ай бұрын
Just n=1 here but I will stay on the combined pill (which I take continuously) until around 53 when I can reasonably assume no further ovulation. I am taking it for ovarian cancer risk reduction as well as other health benefits, not contraception. It also means I get to completely bypass the rollercoaster of perimenopause. After that I will go straight on cyclical HRT.
@Aki-wq6xh9 ай бұрын
@@charleedell92 thank you for sharing!!! Subjectively I feel better on HRT but I worry the estrogen is t high enough to protect me from those dementia heat disease risks etc I wonder if HRT dose is enough >
@KateHarris97919 ай бұрын
I've heard the opposite. That birth control is not our friend as it inhibits our ability to ovulate and make progesterone (which is what protects our body.) BC is suppressing hormones. HRT is boosting insufficient hormones through non-synthetic agents. Read Lara Briden's book The Period Repair Manual for great info on this (it's an easy read.) All the speakers on HRT recommend starting sooner rather than later.
@valerie49126 ай бұрын
@@Aki-wq6xh It should be enough. And as time goes on you can increase. There is a video where birth control pills and HRT are explained in greater detail. Seems HRT is the way to go so dosing can be controlled
