Note: How with photogammetry, landing sites are more easily identifiable, but ground heights and surrounding terrain may vary. Note the need to zoom right in on the tablet to identify and select the landing site.

Flying at altitude and in mixed weather is a great experience in the H145, forcing you to make the most of the instrumentation on board.

Hi Doc, firstly thanks for your very informative videos but I have a request! Could you create a video regarding the autopilot, but without using the iPad? I try to keep it as real as possible but information it this area is completely lacking. I much prefer watching videos like yours than wading through the manual. Pretty please! Best wishes, Roy

Hi Roy. Thanks for the request. Unfortunately flung completely without the tablet, and cueing the autopilot manually with buttons on the stick and collective is not really possible - you would need a mock of the collective, throttle, and stick and I suspect some of the info messages on the FMD would need looking at. At present, the limit is on the number and placement of inputs on the peripherals that are available on the market...unless you print them yourselves and have a much bigger mock up cockpit. I can operate the AP without using the tablet in a very limited way, but Intens tonleave the tablet out so that viewers can see the inputs I am using at any given moment. I'll look at doing a video that highlights this issue and shows users how to work as independently of the tablet as possible. The other option is to use a StreamDeck - but this is still far from real-time. What we need is a identical mock collective and stick. Take care. Thanks for watching.
