Find this clip fascinating because it shows United showing the early signs of the great team they would become. Notice the crowd is still pretty poor compared to even 3-4 years later but is clearly full of kids who were more likely in the 1970s to break ranks from their dads and support United rather than Dundee.

Jim Honeyman. His son Ben was a youth player (striker) who made a few starts in the mid-90s.
