Me too! Played there quite a few times back in the 90's and had a blast. Great course to improve your game on but has a few holes with some teeth. Loved it this time too, despite getting soaked!!

Finally managed to play it in September, even after growing up in Swansea! Enjoyed it very much and love the holes "over the road". Another one yet to edit...🤣

Just subscribed. You earned it by playing on through the rain. Looks like a fun unpretentious course. Have played Swansea Bay but not Earlswood. Many of your vlog courses I've played over the past 52 years. Fascinating to see how they aged. Can anyone tell me how many vlogs in CJ's back catalogue ?

Glad you enjoyed seeing Earlswood - it's a fun course. Not too difficult and great for beginners but a some super holes out there and a course with many fond memories for me. That rain was seriously heavy and resulted in a 15 minute wait through the worst of it. Not a great day to leave the umbrella in the car ☔🤦‍♂️ I think it's 36 courses posted so far although I've played 60 this year which will eventually make it online when I've edited them. Swansea Bay is amongst them!

This course brings back some memories for me as well. I first played this course about 30 years ago as well, when a friend was at Uni. in Swansea. I remember that this course was one of the first to open after Covid lockdown was lifted. 8 of us turned up to play and the queue of parked cars was right down to the bottom of the hill. We didnt wait! I've holed out from 150 yards on the 4th. Some really nice holes for a municipal course.

Brings a smile to my face reading that - thank you! 💓 I hadn't got back into golf again when Covid hit so can only imagine how many folks were itching to get back to it!! Despite the weather when I played, I was smiling to myself all the way round thinking of the fun times I'd had there. I totally agree that for a rock up and play course there are some excellent holes.
