I think you may dig the sound of an Eastman acoustic. I would love to see your do an Eastman video in the future. Thanks, Jon! Yeah, the problem with my local GC is every time I walk into the acoustic room the cheap guitars (like Mitchells) look like they haven't had a string change or a human touch in 15 years. 🤣 That's why I was worried when I found out this was being shipped from the local GC.

Thats how guitar center gets you. They want to do a setup to get you to spend extra $$$. Most newbies don't know they need one till they talk to someone with more experience. Glad i learned how to do setups

in my opinion low budget acoustics even if they are electric with pre amps are just way too had to produce for a low budget price & still make sound great .low budgets might sound OK, but OK isn't good enough in my opinion . I think if anyone has money to spend in that 200 dollar USD range & are looking for their first Guitar , buy an electric forget the acoustic stuff because it's not going to sound good even if it's a solid top in my opinion. the sound from the factory is what we are stuck with, it will age but with age doesn't mean it will sound better with age... they are not like wine.. just my opinion ...& the worst part about acoustics in general is they all end up needing a neck reset & we have to deal with the bridge shave it down to lower the action... I've owned acoustics & they all needed to be shaved down... I have a few need a neck reset.. in closing , I think this model sounds ok....

You have very long fingers, unlike me, which I imagine allow most necks, even "chunky" ones to feel relatively comfortable to you.

I've purchased and returned 2 of them. The first one was before I had a channel. The second one is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHaUgnSPa7-mibs It's pretty decent, but was not setup like they claimed. When you're talking up and marketing a setup as a selling point the guitar better be setup and ready to go out of the box. Or maybe I'm just difficult. I do plan to give them another shot!

They aren't. Massive fret buzz, which loosening the truss rod didn't fix for me. I had to return it.

KAROL- (Tue 1/23) If you're interested, GC has restocked, refurbished Mitchell MS-470s with flame tops for $199.99 limited time blowout price on their website under 'Outlet' in several finishes. I got an email alert. The black/silver burst looks killer. Also in regular orange/gold burst and red. Wanted to give you a heads-up in case you have a spare couple hundred bucks since I know you like the Mitchell MS.

Bought a Mitchell T413ce torrified spruce top recently…550 dollar guitar for 300…I’m a moron, but I’ve been around the other guitar stores and it seems as good as the 2000 dollar Taylor or Martins… I have a Martin 000 jr StreetMaster and find myself playing the Mitchell

I'm surprised how much I like playing this one. It's not as good as the expensive Taylors and Martins but it definitely competes with $500 range guitars.

I was at guitar center a couple weeks ago to find an acoustic guitar for my niece around 300-400. I was blown away by the Mitchell acoustics. But they had 7 of them and 2 of the 7 had excellent low action and sounded great. You want to play a guitar before you buy it. You can also unbox a 2000 dollar guitar and get a cluncker. The 2 Mitchell guitars were incredible sounding and easy to play. The other 5 might be with a setup. But I always wait until the guitar is already good before I buy it. Im thinking of getting one for traveling. My taylor, Parkwood,,breedlove n Seagull are all highend. But this Mitchell played like one. Im impressed.

I agree with you. Particularly with acoustics it helps to play one first. I generally prefer to shop online so I can know what others experience. I recently bought a Taylor 214CE online that I returned because it didn't vibe with me even though the one I played in store was excellent. Thankfully Guitar Center allows you return online purchases in store so that's nice.
