Hi Zac and Jedd! The KZbin gods just sent this great sit down to me. I really enjoyed this episode and learning more about Jedd's musical journey. Three sweet guitars played very sweetly!

Yet another great and humble player, that you allow to talk and tell his own story. Each of these guys talks about word of mouth "networking" and the value being a good guy as well as a good player. Jedd is another of these phenomenal folks. Very human, very self-deprecating person. All of these guys can relax in your presence, Zac, because you are knowledgeable and intensely interested and ask pointed questions. Which is what they deserve, too. Jedd's tuning might be construed as a modal tuning which works so well with Applachian and Celtic music.

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, as I enjoy all of Zac's interviews. Jedd seems to be such a nice and humble person with killer musical chops. I had previously seen him in some other video settings where it was obvious he has a great sense of humour and loves to laugh but I was taken aback a bit here by how quiet he was and so soft spoken he was. When he was on the Teisco and especially the Telecaster he was a very different player. His fingerstyle approach to the Telecaster was all Telecaster but different. Keep up the great work Zac and keep introducing us to these great players. Cheers

Loved Jedd since the first time I saw the video for "Lovin' All Night" when it was in rotation. Bought Transcontinental when it was released, got to see Jedd at SXSW in 2009 between my own sets, and followed his collaborations with Jeff Senn and Mike Moody/Magic Amplification. So sorry to hear of his struggles and despair. The inherent lack of stability in being an artist/musician can be overwhelming and isolating.

I've been addicted to my '90s EHX DMMs for almost 20 years now, first pedal in my very limited effects chain (DMM, CS-2, Paisley Drive, Supermoon Chrome). I depend on its JRC4558-driven preamp as much as its magical repeat tone and subtle modulation. That said, I've been hunting high and low for a replacement as I can now hear how its 100K input impedance masks upper midrange string detail, making it extremely difficult to balance pickups on a Strat, and its footprint prevents me from having a much smaller board as I only use 4 effects. After trying all sorts of fancy delays, I finally stumbled upon the VFE Blueprint. JRC4558 preamp, beautiful delay tone, and control over both modulation depth and rate. It's 215K input impedance is the perfect balance of warmth and clarity. Such a truly amazing and beautiful delay. I think I might even prefer its delay character to the DMM, which is a magnificent feat.

Jedd said that as he always does at night before he goes to bed, he looks online at teles for sale, and right then I knew I found another soulmate. LOL. Haven’t found my tele yet. 😂 but oh man, that one is classic sounding.

I haven’t read all the comments and I’m sure it’s been said, but.. of course his left hand is great but his right hand is immaculate. The feel, touch, and dynamics is something I haven’t seen often. Jedd vs Tommy Emmanuel would be interesting.
