Bengal, at times, has played an important role in the history of the Indian subcontinent.

Calcutta started to decline after 1947 partition. More than 2 crores of Hindus came as refugees from East Pakistan where as hardly any Muslims moved to Pakistan thus causing population to explode all of a sudden due to this one sided unequal exchange of population. Punjab did not face this problem as there was complete exchange of population there.

अभी का कोलकाता शहर (आजादी) से पहले यानी की (15/8/1947) से पहले ज्यादा अच्छा हुवा करता था (फोटो मैं) मगर उस वक्त/समय (अंग्रेजी हुकूमत )था, हर तरफ अपने (बंगाली भाई/बहनों) का (चीख/मार पिटाई)हुआ करता था। खाली (कैलकट्टा) मैं नही पूरे भारत मैं।😭😭 (अंग्रएज सरकार के द्वारा)। जब (अंग्रेज) हमारे पूरे (भारत) मां को (लूट मार पिट करके गए)। तब सिर्फ कलकत्ता ही नहीं पूरा भारत अच्छा सुंदर हुआ और (आजाद) हुआ करताथा और यही नही हमारे (भारत) को (2टुकड़ों) मैं बात कर (1) नया मुल्क (पाकिस्तान डे गया। कई बड़े बड़े (शहर) जसे (कलकत्ता, को कोलकाता),(मद्रास को चेनाई) कर के (गोरे अंग्रेज गए)। यहा मैंने सिर्फ (अंग्रेजी हुकूमत) कहा (मुगल राज) नही। मैं जानता हु की यह टॉपिक (ओल्ड बंगाल/कलकत्ता) के पर है। पर फिर भी (भाई बहनों) जरा उन तमाम (वीर शहीद) के बारे मैं (प्रार्थना) करना जो अपने (प्राणों) को त्याग देदिया हमारे पूरे भारत को आजादी देने के लिए। 🙏
