My dear Gentleman, What a beautiful magnifying glass! Why doesn't they make things like this anymore? So I am very happy you took well care of it and restored it for Meine Mechaniker's gulet! 🙂 As I am getting older, I sometimes wish I had one for my music reading. Beautiful restoration, my friend! You are absolutely right Lucie. I think Montaigne's findings in the 1500s are still valid today. I have read his essays many times over many years. I caught different tastes in this book every time due to my age.
