Your optimism is skeptical. Watson checked out ? Maybe! His play is checked out ! What does he have a 20QBR ? He is not even serviceable at this moment. Kevin’s play calling has been bad and his coaching has been bad. The clock management and timeouts have been horrid. The injuries and this training staff has been bad. This is Watson’s last stop. He is a backup at best and that’s it! Otherwise I think he is finished. The Oline is anemic like a leaky faucet flooding your home and there is no plumber to fix it. The team is out of shape. The Oline is the worst I have seen it since 99. The defense is not terrible but they are not good. They take plays off and make stupid mistakes. They are out of sync and not prepared week after week. The pass on Stefanski is over. At the end of the day this is on him. You do not see him in players faces, you don’t see him holding players accountable ? No emotion, no adjustments, and he runs the losing game plan that is failing whether we are getting spanked, close game, or blowing a team out he is going to run his nonsense no matter what. The clock work and play calling is bad ! The running the play clock down to illegal formations, timeouts, and other nonsense penalties is on Kevin. A change needs made! Either bench Watson, or cut him. Start benching Olineman and start benching WRs for drops. !

@@seanroseman6768 appreciate your take on the game. I agree with your points. Watson’s play, as I’m sure we all agree, has been bad. Not what any Browns fans were hoping for. When I said he’s checked out, he just doesn’t seem to be into the game at times and I thought the sequence in the 3rd of him walking off said a lot to that. A lot of what we were saying in the show as well is the issues with the Browns are deeper than just the QB’s bad play. Why is Kevin calling plays in an offense he’s never called before? Why did you even bother hiring Dorsey? Was that forced by ownership? (Which was written in a CBS article in 2022 where Haslam wanted more of an “air raid” offense) The organizational structure is questionable and we don’t know who’s really calling the shots. How much power does DePodesta have? Does Kevin really have the authority to bench Deshaun? I don’t think he does. The regime also assembled this roster and drafted the players they’ve drafted since 2020. Based off of the 4 years of evidence, I’m not sure they can be trusted to get it right in the draft. Also, I believe why Kevin had success with Flacco and Brissett is because their skillsets were the older traditional pocket style and bigger in statures. Which fits that older Kubiac style offense we were running along with Bill Callahan as O-Line and run game coordinator. The QB’s of today and coming out of the draft aren’t that same style or mold. They’re the new 7 on 7 camp type QB’s. They have to be in the pistol or gun more. They can’t play under center consistently because they can’t drop back from under center, turn their heads and locate coverage. (Which is also why QB play is at an all time low in football) Deshaun and Baker great examples of that. Baker has evolved in Tampa Bay because they’ve done a nice job balancing the offense to maximize what he’s great at. We need to do the same moving forward with whoever we have at QB, but it also starts with a good foundation at the top. Which is what Tampa Bay has and we don’t.
