It was such a nice touch that you done this in memory of my mother. When she was in the hospital she would laugh and smile about your stories, even when she was in pain. She spoke of you very highly and I can totally see why! Your poem about her was lovely and me and my 2 sisters both appreciate it a lot. My mother shared the same love of nature and wildlife like yourself. May she rest in peace.

Watching your videos is like stepping into a Time Machine, and traveling back through the centuries, and your narratives bring us into what the lives of the “Everyman” citizens were like. The waterways in all their iterations, literally carried the life blood of a nation. Lost so many things overboard over the years, chimney hats, chairs, a table, walkie-talkies, so many sunglasses I have lost count nearly lost my sister once when she hit her head on a bridge, that was terrifying as there was nothing I could do from the helm. It's one of the downsides of the fenland area fen blows and little twisters out of nowhere. I really hope all those derelict potteries are done up and not just knocked down.

Funnily enough i have just bought some lesser celandine as it holds fond memories for me of old friends that i lost through covid. Two of whom i had known since i was in the cubs, that was 62 years ago.

Thank you for another tender delicate vlog. You bring calm to this viewer. I find one of the most amazing things about your narrowboat lifestyle is how it forces you to slowdown. You “cruise” at the same speed as the original canal boats pulled by horses and mules. Cyclists and joggers pass you by! You are truly living in another time. Such a beautiful poem remembering your childhood friend, Jenny. I lost my mother at the end of January and it’s very unsettling to lose the person who knew you back when and perhaps best. Dear Vanessa. Your inspiring vlogs have helped me enormously to gradually come to terms with the loss of my mum who passed recently. She too was an incredible artist, loved to write poetry and loved people. Mum always maintained positivity and sense of humour even in the face of adversity. I’m so sorry for your loss. I watched, lovingly, mesmerized, astounded and magically transported to where you have been second by second on this excursion. I felt that the music used today reflected your friends passing, beautifully appropriate. Loss of anyone through death brings grief. Time will, eventually, give way to comforting and happy memories of that person. It's only a matter of time. How much that time lasts depends on how long you decide before you let go of grief. You cannot change the past. What you can control is before deciding to having comforting and happy memories for the rest of the time that you have left. Love your videos. ❤
