Just discovered your vids, an antidote to most of what's on utube, a relaxing escape from the daily grind, thankyou. What make of pencils are you using? The colours seem more vibrant than mine (faber castell goldfaber aqua)

I think that was the best of your videos. Perhaps because I know the area or because Sylvia Plath has always eluded me. Give me a grave and I'm doing Heathcliff on the moors. Perhaps something more simple, your calendar arrived for an old friend who had introduced me to your site. He unexpectedly holidays in the Mediterranean this year and unusually had opened Xmas presents early because he will be off Palermo on Christmas Day. I think we call that messing about on boats of which you are an exemplar. I have sat in graveyards with him and mourned his lost loves which is probably the closest that stiff uppered men are likely to get. Personally as an Englishman I thought it a bridge too far. My old chum is very aggrieved that you have an invisible husband since he thought you did all this managing locks things by yourself. I find that hysterically funny though I know you often do navigate, de rigeur, alone. I will take the opportunity, however forward, to wish you and yours the merriest of Christmases. Thank you for sharing your navigation. We all travel and remarkably sometimes arrive. I have no idea how that happens. It has been great fun, however vicariously, to travel so enjoyablyupon canals. With best wishes.

Wow, 17 locks, that's a lot of work in just 4 miles or so. I am so impressed by your attention to wildlife ... and the attention by other people to wildlife too. I've found several volunteer opportunities near my home, I'll start with the first one on my list. Thank you for your example of caring about our planet and all who live here.

Ok, I have a question, is it possible to turn a narrow boat around with a rope? I haven't seen it done on your videos so it seems doubtful - I was just wondering. Merry Christmas :)

I am longing to live on a boat. I need to figure what to do for income? It would be difficult to return back to land if I needed to for financial reasons as property goes up when boats do the opposite. I love everything about it and I see it as a beautiful adventure with a great community. Love the illustrations in your book. Lovely talent.

. Wow. Let there be no doubt I recognize and empathize with the concerns and worries you present in this episode. But, simultaneously I must say how much I was thrilled to be with you on this. The ice made the narrowboat seem so inviting. The rain on your windows made it seem like such a refuge. The downpour made your snug domocile into a fortress. Your ventures out on your errands took on the quality of daring, the struggles with the locks portrayed drama. The fire in your little stove compelled one to draw into your warm place just a little closer. The smoke from the little chimney bespoke hospitality within. Norwegian socks and a fresh loaf of bread seemed to mean so much more. I, for one have gone back to watch this entire video again and I want to thank you for the excellence with which you have told this story. . This is hard, hard nature and where there is refuge from it, there is exhilaration in it. I wish for you aver safety and security, but I also hope your mindfulness will continue to embrace and convey such episodes in the way you so wonderfully embraced and told the tale of this one.

I'm sorry to say with your experience of lived on a narrow board for quite a few years, I think that you should not have attempted to navigate the canal in full flood. It was a little bit iffy to say the least and that is putting it politely you put yourself and you could have put others at risk .

Why doesnt the *Narrowboater* Community paint over the disgusting TAGS of Vandals and let Beautiful Murals be painted on instead of graffiti and do the Canal Officials ever Drag/Dredge all the canals and the Narrowboater Community get money off your monthly fees for licencing/diesel/etc if say Community brings in trash in and on and on tow(E) paths!!!!!!! Place garbage cans with lids that are inside metal artful bar stands up off ground with cameras to catch those who misuse them and dog excrement bags for picking up their poo!! Plus long poles with nets given to Narrowboat Community to help keep Canals clean!!!!! Keeping the CANALS CLEAN-BEAUTIFUL FOR YEARS TO COME!!!!!

I had a bad accident years ago, shattered both ankles and had to drag myself out of the woods ( 4 hours). A long recovery and constant pain for years. A good friend after watching me hobbling around after having sat for awhile finally said, “I had problems with my shoulder for a year and started tacking a tablespoon of liquid Turmeric (Qunol liquid Turmeric 1000 mg) and it really helped. You need to take it for a couple weeks or a month before you start seeing results”. I thought what the heck, can’t hurt, but was skeptical. I have been taking it for five years now and am virtually pain free. I had to take it each morning for three weeks before I started seeing a big difference. It needs to be refrigerated after opening so I take it in capsule form when traveling. I agree with my friend, the capsules don’t work as well as the liquid but I don’t have to take them that often or for any length of time. I cant say it will work for you but it has been an absolute Godsend to me. Just thought I would mention it.

Vanessa, one of the first things we learn when trying to be health-conscious, is the ability to tell the truth!🤣🤣, you and I both know that those granite banana chips won't soften any by being dunked in your tea, I recommend chocolate covered custard creams by M&S!, resistance is futile, once you have tried those you will buy more, sorry🤣 Such a beautiful verse I am now feeling teary, you're so talented. Changing the subject I thought I'd seen all the videos and was up to date...clearly I'm not🤣. As for journeys, we have no car and travel everywhere by train, Noodle sits on the seat next to me because she is a Duchess!, nobody so far, has ordered her to the floor and I'm glad as she is less cute when sulking!. Until the next vid, be gas safe and careful! x

9min 37s Vic 99. This boat was purchased in Scotland and brought under her own power to Stourport. She was too wide for the Severn locks even then. The solution then was to remove the rubbing strake from one side. Once in Stourport the engine room was stripped to become the galley and the rest of the hull became the restaurant. I painted her during my summer hols from uni in 1970.

Google find the nearest farm suppliers shop for equipment! you get all the coats and gloves you want and boots shoes. There is bound to be one near you where you've parked up. do u use a electric bike or scooter to get around places when you park up. Maybe you could give me some advice you seem to know about your plants, I've got a wild plant growing what's not in an ideal spot but butterflies love it, sort of blue tubular purple flower and I get lots of butterfly sitting on it in the summer, I was wondering if I could grow those stems and plant them somewhere else! but I'm not very green fingered, I don't know what the plant is called do you know? Has a very thin Woody stem easily can be cut cut it back every winter and it grows back in the spring I've got new neighbour coming we might not like it shame for the butterflies! Never seen a plant like that attract butterflies so much. didn't now your phone could pick up bats! What app is that?
