A lot of great builders who I follow and Love their shares of repairing or building amps, keep their secrets of how it actually all goes together. Then people go out new and just copy the amps but don't understand the mechanics of their work. Then they run around with splatter boxes instead of fine tuned amps tuned to their radios. Thanks for your input brother....I be real with you....I do my best to be humble to the point to where at times I need more ego but I can't remember the feeling of looking at pictures of your amps and other people's amps when I first got into this looking at yall like you were these special special men that id do anything to talk to one day....and now I am :) I don't want to ever forget that and if I do some how gain the status as a well popular respected builder amongst other builders out there I don't want it to ever goto my head.

Gatekeeper!! Why do you potentially build an Rf Amplifier, with the Positive and Negative exiting the Amplifier next to each other? If you utilize an amp meter upon the negative!! The amp meter will display Rf resistance!!

@@larryjernigan4249 wow so you understand this? I know its probably been a while since then but I actually bought every single part to my 200 Amp Viper and I was planning straight out copying it to learn from...the only thing I was curious about was the 3 legged transistor(the big one) on the regulating board. I always wondered if there was something I can used in place of if case I am not 100 percent sure if I was able to find if..it was a unique one like a transistor for audio maybe I can't remember ill have to look. I think I was able to find the smaller transistor. One reason I feel in love with the unit was because my buddy ran if hard real hard for many years with not 1 problem. It never gave in...the voltage was regulated very well also. I actually spent 3 days off and on drawing a super super detailed diagram consisting of 6 pages of it. I would love to adapt this design. @@larryjernigan4249 Also when you say negative ground...does that means it is regulated on the ground side instead of the positive?
@larryjernigan42492 жыл бұрын
@@1883GotDown the small transistor is a 2N3904 driving the EGG 152. Basically the solenoid relays switch the batteries from charging at 12 volts to series 24 volts which then is regulated by the maul. The adjustable voltage controls your operating voltage. It's a neat unit, I had an assembly line for them back in the day. I also built a testing unit once they were being copied so much by others just to keep up with the repair side, many copied it but few understood it enough to trouble shoot and repair them.

I like to teach myself...and a good way to teach others about DC voltage and RF as well is...explaining the circuit as if it was plumbing ..or water pipes ... The voltage of a circuit is so so similar to the way plumbers design and build the plumbing route in a home or building ,each component is like one of the pipes or ts or valves or limit flowing devices.. like a bucket ..it's similar to a capacitor..and a diode is like a elboy or a t ..it tells the water Wich way to flow... And a resistor ..not is like stepping down the pipe size from 1 inch to half the flow changes ...just like a resistor changes flow... This is a good way to help teach as well....be blessed Justin Ruth 9lb hammer customs!!! Oklahoma
