I sure wish I was at your home, learning. But I am learning right now, and will soon build myself a 2 pill. And maybe even a one pill. And will put that one on eBay! I want to thank you for teaching us on this. Soon I will be able to put one together quickly. But will try to take my time, as to not make a mistake. That right there is a good reason to keep blown pills. They do come in handy. Now, I have seen videos that show only two rows. Now when I build a one pill, it is OK to wrap 3. in the 1970's I was riding a Honda XR-75. And gas cost me 63 cents a gallon of gas. For my first build, 1 pill. Which will be used for the next build. Will use the single pill to drive the other. Good idea. This was the first video showing a one pill being built. Then connected as a driver for a 2 pill pushing amazing power!

Should add a little sound board in side with a sick clown laugh that comes on for a split second after its turned on. a real one of a kind trade mark. Would have been cool if you could have talked a bit about each part and what it does and why it was needed. Thanks for the great video!

If that really is your first ever built 1 pill you should never sell it man...I still have mine..the epoxy 1 pill...not sure you know why I call it that or not but lol it makes a great driver for the test bench on many amps........loves yalls attitude man I know I would get along with yall boys if we ever get to Colab on a video in person

I have a question with the HG Transistors do you always use the Type 61 Transformer. Why do some techs only use the 1-1/2 vs 1-5/8

That can’t be right! And why would you do that to transistors that are rated for 150 watts at 12.5 volts? At least keep it within a realm of believability. I’d be perfectly happy if the one pill would key 15 watts, and swing to 150-170 watts pep.

The correct way is, three on the input side and two on the output side. I believe we did it backwards on the video lol. 22 changed it the next day and got 30 more watts out of it lol. May do a video on that.

I've always rolled with 5 wraps on the input and 2 on the output but...there is no correct way....you can make a few wrap ratios work with using various compensation capacitors on the input transformer. 5 wraps of 20awg on the input with no cap ontop with 2 wraps of 16 or 14 on output with a 1k ontop has always been a good ratio for me. Also having the choke to ground on input isn't needed but you can get away with it with a stand alone like this .

It just works on one and two pills. Any more pills and we go down to two wraps on the big transformers and three on the small. Hope this helps. 73’s.

Why are u overcomplicating a simple single transistor amp with stacked torroid yransformers ? Single transistor amp can be built woth aorcore coil on the input and the output. Need torroid for collector choke. Bit u dont need the stacked transformers for one transistor amps

I don't know your age or your level of experience, but if you don't know what you're doing, you'll probably end up destroying some stuff learning. And those transistors probably aren't cheap.
