Great tips!! Though I can never toss my makeup at the “ expiration” date… Feel like it’s a marketing ploy to get us to continue to buy new products. I go by product for separation, smell, or discoloration
@MindfulMidlife2 жыл бұрын
Agreed for many things but I do check it more for creamy, or more wet products.

I write the date I first opened a makeup item on a sticker dot and put it on the item. I keep packaging materials with ingredients lists on them - for cream & liquid color products, and all eye makeup and treatment creams, primers and lotions especially - and put a dated sticker dot on that too. I agree that sometimes powder color items (like setting powders or blushes) can be kept a bit longer than the "expiration" date, but they still contain oils, preservatives and stabilizers that can go bad. If you have allergies or other eye problems (like ocular rosacea), or if you wear contact lenses, or have ever had pinkeye or sties, don't push your luck. "When in doubt, toss it out!" should be your mantra for makeup. Certain items, like mascara, I buy cheap because I adhere to a 3-month time limit. I don't use Kleenex or other soft tissues around my eyes bc they're just too lint-y, so I use just a rolled up paper napkin to carefully dab under my eyes when they're acting up (as in wet tears). And I don't do tightlining, waterlining, or that frosty smudge on the tear ducts trendy thing. If I want color underlining my eyes, I use a clear lip liner pencil to give powder shadows something to stick to, and I keep that liner well under my lower lash line. I also don't allow myself to be dependent on daily eye drops, unless they're prescribed by a doctor of course. If over-the-counter drops are needed, I use only the kind that come in single use individual vials; the preservatives in a regular bottle of eye drops can cause sensitivities that only get worse with time. I love your tips! And I'm now a Subscriber! Thank you for your energy and info!

You taught me so many fabulous tricks I have never heard or figured out on my own! You have truly upped your YT game over the last several months and I am so impressed!

Bobbie what foundation do you recommend for people with larger pores? I am finding the foundation I have always used is now noticably settling in my pores..
@MindfulMidlife2 жыл бұрын
Finding one that isn't too glowy would be good. Also, try a putty primer in your larger pore areas. This video shows 6 of my favorite and all of them DO NOT settle in my pores: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nniyl6hji82meM0

Omg I used to cut my eyebrows years ago and they grew back curly. ( I do have curly hair) but cutting my eyebrows made them unruly. Now I dont cut them anymore and I have to use brow gel every day. 😢
