I had the privilege of knowing a Sri Lankan years ago growing up. His wife fixed us some 🇱🇰 food and I agree Luke, 🇱🇰 food is some of the most best food you'll eat in the world. Kinda underrated in my book. People should really try 🇱🇰 food.

I didn’t see anybody use artificial colors or ingredients to cook these foods, not only it tastes good it is also healthy. as a srilankan l’m proud of our food culture, personally I haven’t tried some of the foods that Luke tried in this videos 😅. in my next vacation I’ll try to eat what I missed.

I don't think that there are many Srilankans like you. These are very commonly used exotic cuisines in Srilanka. but there is a very small fraction of people who grew up with western culture in their heads without seeing the values of their own motherland.

Been to Sri Lanka staying in an area called kalutara the last 3 years, and going again march 24 for 3 weeks. Such fabulous people, even the poor would give you their last rupee if you needed it. If you can, go to Sri Lanka, I promise you will not be disappointed.

I am in Pitigala, Sri Lanka now ( 20 Feb 23) on holiday from Australia. Staying with the Hewege family. This is the type of delicious heavenly home cooked meals, Mrs Eshe ( Panni) Hewage cooks. 'Mannar from heaven'. Most of the vegetables, coconut, spices, tropical fruits are grown in her large garden.
