I just installed the factory remote start (part # JS7Z-19A361-A) on my 2018 F-350 XLT and used forscan to enable it and I was able to just use the key flip fob that came with the truck for the remote start using the Lock, unlock, lock sequence, so I didn't need to buy the extra fobs used in the video. Thank you Arod for all you do for the community, your videos are most helpful and appreciated.

The OBD2 t-harness for the kit has 2 wires attached to it. The first is a white with red stripe, the second is a solid white, any idea where these need to be attached to? It's for a 2019 f250 xlt

You can use ForScan to enable remote start and use the standard key fobs without the remote start button. Once enabled, you will use the sequence of lock-unlock-lock to start the engine. The message center screen is enabled. Personally I don’t like having a second fob just for starting. Great video and nice install though!

How did you find this out? Everything on the internet says you need another module... I'm tempted to load forscan up now and see if this is true since 2020+ superdutys can remote start from fordpass...

I tried this on my 2018 using forscan and it shows enabled in forscan but, it still won't start remotely. You mentioned the message center screen is enabled, what did you mean by this? there must be a step missing?

The small jumper wire at 1:06 that you called an “override” is not for remote start valet. It is an override for the security/shock sensor that is built into the module. So, it just makes the system a remote start only system, instead of a vehicle security and remote start system.

Yes it will most certainly will. Depending on the temp, the GP's can stay on actually for up to 120 sec after start up!

Have you seen the recall for the DRL's being too bright on the LED equipped trucks? Be cool if you could do a video to see the before/after. I don't think I'd want mine to be dimmer unless it isn't that much of a change. Enjoy the videos as always!
