More things PC gamers never say 1) Emulator? But that's piracy. Think about those poor devs when you pirate those decades-old games they never sold again. 2) Playing a racing game with a keyboard is so precise and intuitive. 3) I love using multiple game launchers. 4) DRM is the best. 5) *While using a gaming laptop Why do I need a mouse? The trackpad is good enough for me in CS:GO. 6) Mouse acceleration is the best option for better accuracy in shooter games. 7) GPU? The integrated graphics chip is good enough for me. 8) Gaming chair is so comfortable and actually improves my gaming performance. No cap.

I got a physical copy of Elder Scrolls Online in 2014 when it came out. Later I got a physical copy (collector's edition) of Elder Scrolls Online Chapter update in about 2018 or so ... the discs installed the version of the game from 2014 and it immediately started a 150GB game update ... 🙄

I loved using the NumPad arrow keys for Unreal 1 ... I used to shift the keyboard over left so I could do so. I remapped Half-Life to match. I gave up when Morrowind used WASD with E for jump instead of Spacebar ...

I used to play games on my laptop with integrated graphics. I played on 720p low graphics. I bought lots of games on steam but didn't play anything else other than Skyrim. Now I have a Xbox Series S and it's the best decision I have ever made. The games are costly but I only buy games at heavy discount so I still save a lot of money.

But in my experience gaming on linux **is** simple and easy though... sure not every game works yet (even though most do), but I could say the same about all the old windows games that no longer work... on windows anyway... Linux plays them just fine

Yeah, it's quite funny how Linux manages to play my old CD games for Windows better than the Windows compatibility layer does itself. For a company praised for it's backwards compatibility, Microsoft does a really bad job of it. I'm not saying Linux was designed with backwards compatibility in-mind, but one of the main reasons for companies using Windows is the supposed excellent backwards-compatibility and it clearly does not do a good job at it... For example The Sims 2 on Windows 10 loads the buy/build menu items extremely slowly and has a big annoying black rectangle at the feet of every Sim. Whereas running the game under wine/proton is perfect. You still do get one or two graphical faults every so often, but those are the games fault most of the time and not the system running it.

Of course this game will work on my PC, these things are built standard. You don't have to worry about your game still working when you update to the next version of Windows. Cross platform play is completely fair between PC and Console. I would never feel superior to my fellow gamer. We're all one big happy family.
