I’ve run my 36 Lion on pump fuel all the time no problems at all. Even E10.

! 😳 £3,000 more than the 1928 mod.6 he had a year ago! Has got an AMAC carb., but whether it's original to the bike i can't see. Has the post April 1927 21 inch wheel rims both ends which is correct. The exhaust looks like the Ghost one fitted to a lot of these machines, but this one is non-standard chrome & not nickel plated (*& too shiny!* 😱) but a lot of Light Solos had the (silencerless, or more accurately, inline/intube) straight through Sportier pipe. ! Although it has a Best & Lloyd oil pump, as far as I can see, it is a very small bodied one - about half the size of my B&L which is original to the motorcycle & given the 'Light Solo' was considered the 'Sportsman's' model that concerns me a little. I guess if you get enough 'drips'.....😐 All in all, given what I can see of fit & finish, this is most likely an older restored 'bitsa' - & too overpriced.

As a postscript. Having gone back & looked again at the carb it doesn't appear to be an original *brass bodied* AMAC, it may even be a period AMAL. 😕

Nope. Wouldn't do 100 mph - 70, or maybe 80 downhill, but you would be foolish (or reckless?!) to try. This one, like many others, has a steering damper fitted (probably aftermarket post wetting himself 😁) to mitigate the weaving. A ribbed front tyre like an AVON does a lot to help.

You'll need a lathe or a friend with one. Any old thing is the same.

OK (major) bits are scarce but not as much as other motorcycles of the same era - or a decade later. Marston Sunbeam Register does a lot to help.
