On "My Car Story" we're in Auburn, IN on 5-8-15 at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
We're looking at a 1932 Auburn Boat Tail Boattail Speedster 8-100A in Turquois paint.
We’re talking with Terry Peshia who’s the Owner of this car. This car is all a real Auburn Boattail with papers and club certification stating its authenticity. It’s the REAL DEAL! In the 80’s Terry found the car in magazine ad. He contacted his Business Partner Jim Garbe about purchasing the car. They drove to see the car and found a complete car, but there was a problem. The current Owner had it in pieces at two different garages. They purchased the car, collected the pieces, and trailered the pieces home. Terry eventually bought out his Business Partner. The restoration was started in 1988, and completed in 2000. This car on display at the main showroom at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
If you’re interested in seeing this car in person, go to the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Automobile Museum. The Museum is located at 1600 South Main Street, Auburn, IN 46706. Or go to www.automobilemuseum.org and view their collection.

Terry is my grandfather. He passed away in 2018. Lou, you came to our "barns" property one time to interview my grandpa and father Ted about some of our cars. Every so often when I am feeling down, I watch these videos of my Popa and smile because I get to listen to his voice and hear all of the stories that he has to tell about his beloved cars. I doubt that you will see this comment, but I just wanted to put it out there that I am grateful to have these videos to look back on and remember the love my grandfather had for classic cars. Thank you.

Hi Jocelyn, I had a blast with your Grandpa and the cars. I understand that these videos leave a "legacy" of the cars and the people who own them. I'm HAPPY we get to save these moments....like Joey riding the ATV in the creek :-) Tell Ted we have to get some cars out and HAVE MORE FUN :-) I think it was Dr. Suess who said, "Don't be sad it's over, be glad it happened." Thank you for this wonderful comment that starts my day off in a GREAT warm way. You're welcome, Lou

@@loucostabile Hi! They sure do leave a legacy. And what a crazy fun time riding ATVs! I remember that! Also, that's a great quote that my mom says all the time! I showed my family your response and they all say hi and hope you're doing well. I agree that you've gotta come out to the Barns again!!! :)

I remember in the late 70's I visited my dad's uncle's house many times visiting my grandparents. He had two "loud" cars in the garage. A Cord that was supercharged. And a supercharged Auburn boat tail roadster. He sold them in 1980. His son, my dad's cousin, told me last year his father sold the Cord for $40k and the Auburn for $80k. Remember.....this was 1980 money. He also owned a supercharged Studebaker Avanti.

What is the instruction for using a 2 speed axle? Must a driver be stopped in neutral to shift, or could it be like a Norman overdrive?

I'm sorry but, the "corvette" of the 1930s doesn't quite cut it...😳 If it was mine, I wouldn't take 3 Corvettes for it.

Because I did not know when KZbin asks you "Would you like to stabilize your video?" You DO NOT click yes. Lesson learned the hard way on many of my earlier videos TheThirdMan, Lou

That fuel pump with glass bowl looks like a Ford flathead fuel pump from 1932. Probably the same manufacturer.
