There are only so many ‘32s left in the world that would be as clean a staring point as this one. So what does the owner do? Commissions a build that looks just like the thousands of fiberglass reproductions at any car show. What a nice car this could have been, had the owner had ANY imagination.

I couldn't agree more! Bloke finds a traditional survivor car and builds a kit car out of it. Should have just bought a brookville body and used all reproduction parts. This roadster should have been put back together as it was in the 50's. Spent money and lost value in my opinion. Great skills to build what has been built, but the history of these old rods should be preserved in my opinion.

At least he didn't paint it peach and pastel lavender and then do some kind of graphics on the side that don't relate to the lines of the body, and then lower it down to one millimeter off the ground and put the tires with no sidewalls on it and put a booga booga boom boom box in the trunk and a mustang front end and an aluminum tilt column and etc.etc.etc. Having said all that, he has every right in the world to do as he pleases with his own property, whether any of us like it or not. I personally prefer the crusty old traditional low dollar low tech approach, (flathead, wire wheels, etc.) But it doesn't belong to me, and if he had tdld me what he intended to do when he started, I'd have said "I can't watch this" and walked away, leaving him to exercise his right to do what he likes with his personal property. I'd be sad, but like Voltaire said: "Though I may disagree with what you say, I would defend to the death your right to say it"

Well like it or not, there’s no denying that Brizio’s build some beautiful Street Rods. I get the argument that it should have been rebuilt to the way it was originally, but this is what the owner wanted & it was his money to spend however he wanted to. Thanks for sharing from another “cookie car” owner of a steel ‘32 Ford Roadster from the U.K. 🇬🇧. 👍👍👍👍👍

What a shame. You ruined that survivor hot rod.

That was an amazing survivor hot rod, 21 stud motor, merc steering wheel, looked like 40 ford brakes and wheels. Now its just like all the other street rods out there and it is terrible. You should have just bought a repop body and built that with off the shelf parts.

No wonder this car turned out so beautiful….It was built by Roy Brizio in San Francisco THE premiere hot rod shop in the US….!

two minutes in and i can't watch any more. they ruined a classic period-correct hot rod. what it looks like they are building they could have done with off the shelf parts.

I grew up with flatties in my Fords and it's a real shame to see one more cookie cutter duece . A good strong flattie is easy to build today and the torque surprises many of young folk who have no idea.

Ahhh.......another cookie cutter hot rod. Good gosh, we lost another decent '32 to the fakers..... Damnit!!! Ya 'all 'HAD' a great piece of steel with some true non existent rare Hot Rod parts.... Good scrub, rust converter, red oxide primer/black primer and reassemble with that refreshed Stromberg juiced Ford Flathead. That, would be a Hot Rod, restored! Sorry gents, this blue thing is a wanna be all day long.
