St Thomas വാഴിച്ച പുരോഹിതൻ മാരുടെ യും മെത്രാൻ മാരുടെ ചരിത്രം AD 54 മുതൽ 1653 വരെ ആരും റെക്കോർഡ് ചെയ്യ്ത് വെച്ചിട്ടില്ലാ 1653 ക്ക് മുൻപ് അർക്കി ദിയോൻ മാർ ആയിരുന്ന തോമസ് സ്ലീഹായുടെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്ന തലവൻമാർ 1900 വർഷം പഴക്കം ഉള്ള പള്ളികൾ ആണ് സഭയുടെ പാരമ്പര്യം സഭയിൽ നിന്ന് വിഘടിച് കത്തോലിക്കർ ആയവർ 1600 ൽ കുറെ പള്ളികൾ കോണ്ട് പോയ പോലെ 1975 ൽ വിഘടിച് പോയവർ കുറെ പള്ളികൾ കോണ്ട് പോകാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചതാണ് കോടതി വിധിയോടെ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടത് അവർ 1860 ൽ പള്ളികൾ പിടിക്കാതെ വിഘടിച് പോയി മാർത്തോമക്കാർ ആയ പോലെ യാകോബാർ പോയങ്കിൽ കേസ് ഉണ്ടാവില്ലായിരുന്നു

There were chrisitians in Kerala from first centrury onwards and they claimed to be disciples of a person called Thoma. This can be best explained by the traditional belief that Apostle Thomas planted this Church in first century. The stories about Brahims are not part of any Church dogma. Pasor has given his prejudiced opinion in this video. There will always be people who twist history to fit their world view. I pray that, atleast his students will be open minded and will learn the actual historical facts from reliable sources.

Pastor, Your are right to claim your freedom to express your views. But at the same time, the issue of rejecting any final verdict of the Indian Supreme Court cannot be acceptable. Shouldn’t you raise your righteous outrage against those who reject the SC verdict and thereby declare the Indian Constitution unacceptable. If this case was to be determined by the Bible, may be the Party that filed the case should not have approached the courts for resolution of the conflict. Also, please understand that there is no substantive difference in the faiths of these two groups. The only difference is about Syrian Patriarch’s right to intervene in the internal affairs of the Indian Church. That is a management issue and NOT a Faith issue. (Also, if the Faiths are different as the Jacobite group claims, then the appropriate alternative is to leave as the Marthomite Church did more than a century ago).

Pr. Anilkodothottam, are you ignorant of the 9th century ( 823 AD) West Asian Syriac Christian families migration to Kollam from Nineveh ( present day Mosul of Iraq) under the leadership of Marwan Sapir Iso and two west syriac bishops Mar Sabore and Mar Aphroth? These two bishops went around from Kollam to Kunnamkulam and established most of the Syriac Christian churches of Kerala. The Tharissappally chepped was given to this Kollam Nazaranies in 849 AD by Ayyan Adigal Thiruvadigal , the feudatory chief of Venad which was under the Chera kingdom and was being ruled by Sthanu Ravi Verma ( He was in his 5th reginal year when this happened) . Some of the Cheppeds are now with the Devalokam and Pulatheen Aramanas. The Syrian Catholics and the Orthodox churches may like to conveniently ignore this part of the church history and may like to promote the St. Thomas and Knanaya myths only as otherwise they may have to rewrite their own church history which they have been promoting all these years. These very same Kollam Nazaranies have started the Kollavarsham or the Nazrani era( NE) on 17th Aug. 824 AD. ie., with in 2 years of their arrival at Kollam. They settled down at Thevally where the West Syriac Orthodox church they built "Tharissappally" was located. Because of the presence of the church, that place came to be called as "Thevar Palli" (God's church) and finally Thevally. Now the Thevally palace is located in that place. I was surprised that the present custodians of the Tharissappally cheppeds, ie., the Syriac orthodox church or the Marthoma church did not take any interest in commemorating the 1200th year of arrival of this syriac community to Kollam ( during 2022-23) and the establishment of most of the Syriac churches in Kerala in the 9th century !! But now the Orthodox church is celebrating the 1950 th year of the "so called martydom" or Duhkrono of St. Thomas ( which never happened in India sub continent) whose arrival to Kerala and conversion of Nampoothiris to christianity is itself a myth !.

Untill the 15th centuary the malankara church was in communion with the persian church (church of the east) which was in communion with the great church( orthodoxy and Catholicism) this shows the communion of all the church and its relation and also the church of east also claims apostolic tradition of saint thomas.There are many proof from the church of east records of this relation as well as the bishops of east who visited malankara

The Devalokam headquartered Syriac Orthodox church is the true custodian of the ancient Kerala christians. Unfortunately they have joined the Syro- malabar wagon of following and promoting the St. Thomas and the Knayi Thomman myths. The Church of the East or the Nestorian church tradition started in Kerala only after the 12th century or so and the Chaldean catholic church tradition came to Kerala even after that. The Latin church tradition started even before the arrival of Portugese as the first Roman Latin catholic diocese of Asia was established by Pope at Kollam even centuries before the forcible conversion of the syriac christians to the Roman Latin Catholic church in the 16th century under Bp Menezes. The syriac christians of Kerala were under the Patriarch of Antioch through the west syriac church bishops in the Persian Empire. Mind you, they were not under the church of the East at all. It is a wrong notion started and perpetuated by the catholic hierarchy to distort the Kerala church history. Unfortunately the Devalokam group also has got trapped in that net. We need unbiased church historians to come out with the real truth. Again I have seen all these historians trying to promote India means Kerala. If they say some one has visited India in the 2nd century and found christians it does not mean that he visited Kerala and found christians there . He may have visited the present day Pakistan/Afganistan etc which was part of the India region ( or the so called kingdom of Gondophores) in the 1st century etc.

St francis xavier converted many people during the period starting from 1543 to 1545, from alleppy and kollam regions.Actually the converts were part of catholic church, however a few churches like niranam, cheppad, kayamkulam stood with marthoma 1 in 1653 like some st thomas christians stood with latin catholics in ernakulam. 2.There are some christians who were converted by mar gabriel in kottayam town, also a few dutch mercenaries married local women and their children have names like oommen, mammen, koshy, ninan,maten etc in kottayam town.this is in 1720,s during dutch period. 3.people converted by CMS missionaries from 1815. 4.People converted by parumala mor gregorious. 5. People converted by evangelisation done by indian orthodox church in early 20 th century by sansyani mission etc. 5. Sleeba dasa samooham, converted by pathrose mor osthathious. 6. The untouchables from munroe thuruth.

Vattipanam was the money lent to Briish by Marthoma Mar Dionysius, for which they paid interest. British did not give any economic help, but must have helped in establishing education and hospitals. Most their money went to CSI church.

ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയെ പററി പാസ്റ്റർ പറഞ്ഞത് ചരിത്രപരമായി ഏററവും ശരിയായവയാണ്. ശ്ളീഹാമാരുടെ അനുശാസനങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പരമ്പരാഗത സഭയുമില്ല. അതിപോലെ തന്നെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൻറ അനുശാസനങ്ങളെ (മത്തായി: 5, 6, 7 )പിൻപററുന്ന ഏതെങ്കിലും ക്രൈതവനുണ്ടോ എന്നും വളരെ സംശയമാണ്.
