Hi guys! Short one today; thought we'd fix a couple of dents on the 1937 Chevrolet, now that she has passed inspection and is legally ready to drive! Also, I wanted to try polishing up the paint, and it sure looks better! Alex from Curiosity Inc stopped in to pick up his Nissan 300Z Turbo bumper; perhaps we'll have to go visit him here one afternoon? Meanwhile, enjoy a look and a short ride on the Chevy Master Town Sedan! We are very happy to announce our new "Dean's Greasy Flips" beer cozies! Get yours today, as they are a limited edition! Also: We just got in a new shipment of "Same Old Shit" coffee mugs, so get them while they last, haha! Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam. Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! The new "Dean's Greasy Flips" beer cozy is at: www.coldwarmotors.com Or, please feel free to check out our Patreon page at : www.Patreon.com/coldwarmotors where we have extra videos and pictures and a bunch of people hanging out and bs-ing about cars! I don't know if any other of your viewers think of you as some conservator of automotive history, but you do a damn sight better than any other program out there and you share the importance of saving, preserving, and, most importantly, enjoying and understanding these vehicles and not using them as just an ego booster or status symbol. Cheers to your friends that are doing the same!

*Friends* I've harped on the subject here before, but I'm borderline envious of Scotts' circle of friends/buddies. That infectious Canadian sort of zen thing in a group force - it's something I'd be right at home in, as opposed to the oftentimes harsher societies to be found down here in the lower 48. That same sort of mindset, a more polite/helpful/courteous society still exists down here, but you have to get out here in the country to find it - which is why I came back to my roots here in TN in the early 90's. Anyways, I digress.... I still LOVE that damn Chevy, jealous of the rides in it even - and yes, Scott DOES deserve for a car not to fight hell out of him once in a while, so good on ya my friend! - Ed on the Ridge

I love the V8 showdown, but I'm also all smiles whenever the Chevy comes out. It's such a rarity to have one of these cars in all original, but despite their age, they still are a fully developed and sorted-out car. Driving 50 and still being able to normally talk is one of many proves for that - couldn't do that in my Model A, and it's just seven years older! A time when cars developed as quickly as computers and smartphones do today

Congrats, and kudos for keeping it as original as possible. Riding around in that on a summer day has to be a delight. One thing I like about your road trips in the summer is the lovely yellow fields we sometimes see. In this one, we can see them at around 13:00. I guess those are canola fields.

Isn't that so true. These old cars have so much personality, my bucket list dream car has always been a 37 Ford coupe. When I was young, a older gentleman had 3, or 4 37 2 door sedans, I pestered him to sell one, but he would not sell. After he passed away, they all disappeared, I never knew what happened to them. It broke my heart to think they were all scraped.

One of those short films that leaves you, at least for me it did, with a fuzzy feeling. And I was in the right mood after driving the CX today in blistering hot weather. @todddenio3200 Жыл бұрын
If the 37 has lacquer paint on it, there is an old school bodymans trick for getting small amounts of touch up paint. Find an area of the car that is not seen such as inside the trunk or behind a door card, and with a clean cotton rag such as an old white t-shirt, dipped in lacquer thinner you can rub it on the paint in the unseen areas and it will gather paint on the rag. Just be sure to move to a different spot before you go through to the primer or bare metal. Rinse the rag of paint in a dish with thinner in it and when you think you have gathered enough, gather a touch more, let some of the rinse thinner evaporate until it is thick enough to spray, and you will have a factory match to the original paint, I learned this from an old school body man about 35 years ago.

I am grateful to be taken for a ride in the Chevy. My mother had a 66 Nova that sounded just the same with the 6 cylinder engine.
