Hey guys! A short one today as Myles and I decided to fire up Tom's old 1960 Chevy Impala, and got talking about potential engine ideas for the old 1963 Pontiac Strato-Chief! Hope you enjoy...
Thanks to everyone who ordered a Fury shirt! They are now shipping! You should receive an email very soon if you haven't already. Also: We just got in a new shipment of "Same Old Shit" coffee mugs, so get yours today while they last, haha!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.

What a fun midweek episode. I absolutely love the 60 Impalas and would just be beside myself if we saw a donor car being dropped off in the yard. It might take years to accomplish a streetable upgrade, but I’ve been here for years and years already and I’m not going anywhere. 👍💯 Myles is also going to be busy and I can’t wait to see the progress. Now I wonder where we are headed on Saturday and what shenanigans Scott has in store for us. 👍💯

They do indeed, had the 305 in a '78 Chevy Nova. Mind you they weren't the best (cam shaft issues), I hear the 307 was the better of the two, and then the legendary 350... Those are bulletprooof, nearly and were most likely installed in most middle of the road Chevy models back in the day. Love the sound when they start up, unmistakable for the times.

For that dual exhaust, if you want to do it the way we did back in the day, just buy appropriate pieces of straight pipes and bends, and appropriate size mufflers, use your tubing expander and fit it together, and weld it with a "cracker box." Hang appropriately., or, for TRUE authenticity, use pieces of wire coat hanger for exhaust hangers.

Myles, you HAVE to put a third pedal in the Poncho. A Saginaw or Muncie stick poking through the floor. Don't let us down, buddy! Scott, if you can't find a donor car near you for the '60 Chev, you might reach out to fellow KZbinr Ryan with Iowa Classic Cars. Pretty sure he's got just what you need. Hi there! The '60 Impala runs great! As much as I'd love to see it get the "60 Fury treatment, I'd rather see either the Hudson or the Kaiser you have put away in the Driving & Legal side of the score card. Myle's '63 deserves to be rowdy & a bit rough around the edges. It looks like plenty of the street racers from my younger days. The days of 120 MPH of engine & maybe 75ish MPH worth of drum brakes. As always, I'm looking forward to Saturdays episode! Stay Safe & Stay Warm!

“More fun to buy than it is to fix.” First time I ever heard that said out loud, but Miles is right! If the valve covers for Miles “small block Pontiac” are early 283 they’ll have the offset bolt holes and won’t line up with the bolt holes on later heads but you can buy adapters so you can use the early valve covers. I love the fact that it’s staying Canadian Pontiac it would be super cool to find a “Pontiac” 409 for it. There used to be a guy out west here that was the 409 Canadian Pontiac expert and dealt in parts I just can’t remember his name. Back in Ontario I had a 63 Laurentien that was originally a 409 4 speed car the 409 was long gone and a later 396 in it’s place but I had confirmed through him that it was a 409 car. The police in Ontario also had some 4 door Pontiacs with 409s

The fact that the '60 was Tom's is another point in its favor; the comedy from him bitching at you during a restoration would be epic. But like you said, that means multiple others don't get done. Impossible decisions... The Poncho with a 4-speed would be perfection, even with the body as-is. That, the 'port...sign me up for a fleet of rusty 60s/70s iron with just the right chop at idle.

More fun to buy then it is to sell. Part sellers needed. Cool ole Catalina Tom had. Like the idea of using a 283. One of my fav motors. Include Fuel injection n electronic ignition it runs smooth and powerful. Still great on gas with 6 speed auto to stock gears. See you Saturday. Great Shirt by the way.

Hi Scott and crew. SOooo many options for the Impala. The only important one that I'll offer is that it could be a big money-maker to fund a lot of treats for Frankers.
