Hi, we need these sort of videos as well as the Rambles, as any real bike lover will certainly agree. If it has 2 wheels and an engine, i'll be here.... let's go!

Old, I know that you are the right person for the reconstructive surgery for "Dave" to be restored to his proper glory! I'm looking at a Royal Enfield super meteor motorcycle ('23 -'24 model) I was almost ready to make the final decision when the super meteor motorcycle got dropped omto the mix! Now I have to rethink my choice, the 650, I think may sneak in the win, and, be chosen. There are features it has that the other's don't &the price for a new one is better than the other ones. I'll SO keep you posted, and, you'll get photos of it as soon as I get it back home! Doug🤓🇺🇸👍🏁😁🐻🧸🏍️

Thanks Doug, The RE 650s certainly are very nice bikes and what about the new Shotgun? Be very interested to see what you end up with. Cheers.

When I heard the word 'transitions' I nearly turned it off! 😂😂😂 I look forward to seeing the project. 👍
@old-n-Goldie10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, the word transition is often linked with something quite different to this nowadays, but it did seem the perfect word for what Dave is about to do.😂😂😂

I'm looking forward to this Rog, I remember watching my great uncle rebuilding his WLA in the 1960s when I was very young, one of the things that got me into biking. Cheers, Mick

Original parts are indeed still expensive. I am also restoring a WLA, I also use reproduction parts. When the WLA is ready, I will replace it with original parts over time
@old-n-Goldie10 ай бұрын
Yes, thats the way to do, and spread the cost of original parts over time. Thanks for watching.

Would some Andrews Sisters or Glenn Miller music et al be more appropriate for the intro and outro? 🤭
@old-n-Goldie10 ай бұрын
Yes, certainly would. Unfortunately you have to be very careful with background music on KZbin due to the very strick copyright laws. It's all to easy to fall foul of their rules when using anything other than royalty free music. I may well change it over time though as something more suitable comes up. Cheers.

it does look great in civy trim but i agree that its a much more intresting bike in its original trim and paint. And why hide the fact its a war vetran it should be a proud milatry bike not a pritty city bike so your right to build it as Harley intended A WAR MACHINE
