I'm witj Geri, I'd sit through an hour long video. Have you seen some of the closet historians videos? Her making videos are over an hour.

That summer set having a bolero makes compete sense for me: the bolero would be great for if a cool change came through, or if you needed to cover your shoulders due to the sun being super hot/to keep yourself from being sunburnt

You got me at the cabinet of doom. I’m a fan of Closet Historian and just found you, thanks to KZbin. Loved this video!
@Diniecita3 жыл бұрын
for the summer short and playsuit pattern I get why the bolero was an option. If you've been in the sun all day and are hot and the sun goes down, it might be nice to cover up as it gets cooler. Or maybe it could be worn to keep the sun from singe the skin from your body like it tries to do to me. Just a thought.

It's going to take me awhile, but I am determined to watch all your videos. I am so thrilled to have found you! Which only happened cause you made a comment on a video that The Closet Historian made and I followed you here. I just love this series! Your voice is so great and you make me laugh. Thanks for the sunshine in dark times. :) Nothing wrong with me that patterns won't fix. I can't even choose a fav!

I will do my best to find some more and create a video for them. They seem to sell as fast as I get them in.

First of all, you look AMAZING in that flowered dress! The colors and the cut are fantastically becoming. Second of all, did you notice the double parallel French darts on the Hollywood 1981?!? I love multiple darts! Actually I've seen them on several of the patterns on your videos, and for some reason they are ALMOST INVISIBLE! Doesn't the artist want us to notice the detailing? And multiple parallel darts are gorgeous! --Teresa
@StephanieCanada4 жыл бұрын
Oh I hadn’t noticed before! And yes sometime the artists would leave out certain details (although I am not for the life of me sure why).

I could be wrong but the bra bolero shorts pattern probably included the bolero in case company dropped by while you were wearing the bra and shorts. Technically the showing of so much skin even in a close nit circle of friends would have been taboo. Even swim costumes of this time are still very covering despite dropping much of the excessive amounts of fabric from previous decades. If an unexpected visitor dropped by it would only take a moment to throw on the bolero before answering the door.

Karen from 🇨🇦 Canada Question: Why can't one put in their bust size and see what is available? Unless one is knowledgeable in drafting , having a list of patterns available in one's bust size would be grand! I know I would. Karen bust size 38
