4K Road Test of vintage 1948 Continental V12. The Lincoln Continental began as a one-off designed car for Edsel Ford before becoming a production car. Production numbers were low. Produced from 1939 until 1942, Post-War production continued for two additional years. 1948 would be the last year of the Continental V12 with only 452 Cabriolets produced to 847 Coupes. Power is from 292 cubic inch 125HP Flathead V12 engine paired with a 3-speed column-shift manual transmission. The Color is Moss Green with Oxblood Red leather upholstery. This is an AACA worthy classic car, a true collector automobile. As filmed by Samspace81 with Garrett Classics in Lewisville, Texas.

A car that's not only beautiful, You don't have to be a master mechanic to know how to work on it. Love it.

That transparent steering wheel and the knobs… they're so damn sexy and I don't know why. You'd expect a wooden steering wheel on these types of cars. Is it lucite? Great video as always!

Hot right? I loved the way the sunlight was hitting it in those video segments. Honestly I'm not sure, I always called the old materials bakelite or lucite. Its beautiful. I'm sure someone will chime in that knows if we're lucky :) Thank you Randy I appreciate that.

@@samspace81 I'm not sure if there was a difference between Lucite and Baklite. Baklite was always colored and not TRANSLUCENT. It could very well be Lucite.

A beautiful car, lovingly displayed in this masterfully shot video. Better than most quickly done “for Cale” videos. If Lincoln produced a modern car halfway as glamorous as this they could outsell Cadillac.

Got myself a '79 Pontiac Bonneville wich is 5.5 meters/214inch/18 feet + a huge tow hook behind it. And it's pretty big in comparison to the European cars here. The parking spots are ridiculously tiny. Most of the time you've got to use 2 parking spots.
