Been dealing with those engines for a long time brother. Out here in los Angeles we like to run straight 30 or 40 weight engine oil.. it's a lil hard to get but it is at most auto parts.. it's what gm ran in them back in the day...

Those engines like thick consistency oil. It's what keeps those lifters quite and running correct

In those days, people ran plain water in the cooling system with a rust inhibitor added. During the winter months, alcohol was used as anti-freeze.

While that radiator hose is discounted, think about replacing it. My grandfather bought a 1952 Chevy brand new. I'm now the car's caretaker. I was checking the car over and noticed that the perfect looking upper hose was dated 1991... That's 33 years... Time for a new hose.

Notorious for overheating you may want to consider the addition of an electric fan! In my day POP carried a saddle bag made of canvass that hung around the neck of the radiator! Big thumbs up on buy spares at NAPA

Depends we’re you live weather wise ,I use 30 weight ,also on antifreeze I only use 1gal of antifreeze ,rest water which works very good .. remember there was. No antifreeze back in the 50’s ..

this wasn't helpful. you didn't say any measurements of fluids and when you have a part show the part numbers there's no 1010 at Napa its TWD p53. nice car tho.
