Welcome to the small club of "T" restorers, I just finished my 53 TD which I started one year ago. I am retired so have plenty of time to devote to the project. I have watched all of the youtube videos on mg's and most are 5 to 10 years old. Good to see a new project to follow. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the process. PS I am starting on a 51 TD so we will be sharing together.

Jody Prather hi Judy It’s great to talk to another TD owner. Are you planning on doing a KZbin blog on your rebuild?
@jodyprather95036 жыл бұрын
Yes, I started my videos a year ago when I first started. Just click on my name to see the videos

Jody Prather your car is the same colour scheme as mine was. I am going to go with a biscuit interior and maybe autumn red or the original red, not 100% sure yet

Autumn red with the biscuit interior is beautiful. That was my first pick but my interior was perfect when I got it so I went all original. Have you tried 9% Vinegar to clean any rusted parts? Works great

Good Start Jamie. Can't wait to see some of the bits from the states finding their place on the rebuild. You'll find lots of willing help on the "net" , your videos will help insure that. You need to double the space in your workshop however. ;-)

Marv Proctor I would love a double garage, but that's not going to happen. You will see in the third episode I have made more room by building a storage area under my house

I just found your site while researching the contour SCT surface tool. I will be reviewing your whole series of the rebuild. Thanks in advance and I hope all goes well. I have a basket case as well, so hope to learn from you.

I absolutely love the SCR, it is fantastic at removing rust and paint. Money well spent. Hope my videos help you with your MG. What model do you have?

Great video! What about bodywork - could've used a little more sheetmetal repair tips - did I miss them!?
@MGREBUILD5 жыл бұрын
I haven’t done any bodywork videos yet. Most of the work has already been done prior to my how-to videos. I’m not a panel beater so what I do may make a few people cringe. I still have a couple of panels to go so I might do a video on one of them soon

Hi Jaime Good project. I too have a TD to restore. Worse condition than yours and it will be a while 'til I get to it. Just stripped the gearbox. Thought I'd start on something. I'm in Adelaide btw. If your interested check my vids MGA and Healey resto. Keep your videos coming. I really look forward to them. Matthew

Looking forward to your progress Did the car come from Brisbane or Tasmania? Sorry I'm a Yank and interpreting other's accents is not our strong suit. :-)

Timothy Burchfield hi Timothy The car came from Brisbane in Queensland I brought it down to Tasmania which is about 2,200 kilometres away
