Outstanding. Gorgeous choice of color - it's very retro. And the mirror shine on everything and complete stain removal on the plastic.. 100% result, or what I like to call better than factory. You're firmly in the class of: 1: Click watch. 2: Click 'like' 3: Watch video. I'm a perfectionist so it's great to discover restorers who can live up to my standards.

Awesome how you restored the juicer. It looks much better and it works like a charm as well. Excellent work.

INCREDIBLE resto job! Reminds me of the juicers they used at the Sunkist booth on Main Street in Disneyland in the early 1960s. Half the fun was watching the oranges give up their juice. For kids from Wyoming, the idea of that many oranges was almost beyond belief!

I really enjoy watching these products come back to life. Great color selection. Very appropriate for the time period. Well done, mate!

Great choice for era appropriate paint color. Finish is very good. I always think that a total restoration ought to require taking the object completely apart, all parts of it.

My grandmother had one similar which helped cause she owned a citrus grove. I got an automatic juicer for a wedding gift that must have squeezed hundred of gallons of her oranges and grapefruits.........
@OneMansJunk5 жыл бұрын
The automatic ones were much better but didn't have the beauty and soul of these manual ones.

Another great restoration. I was surprised and impressed with the results from the salon product. I wonder if it would work on doll parts from the same time. Was it a hair bleach?
@OneMansJunk5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be purchased very cheaply at Sally's Beauty Products. I believe it would work on any plastics that have yellowed over time, but results may vary. I was stunned, really.
@daveogarf5 жыл бұрын
Samantha Singley - Haven't tried it on doll parts, but the formula called Retr0bright is on the internet, and appears to reverse discoloration from years of exposure. Oxy-Clean is another oxygen bleach, and will help too. Whatever you get from Sally's, make sure that the oxygen bleach isn't too strong, or you may weaken the plastic.

Grew up in the 60's and remember this diner we went to for breakfast on the weekends had those juicer's, they only had small narrow 8 ounce glasses but it still took 3-4 oranges to fill up a cup. Love the color and that shiny finish, great job! BTW couldn't you just use hydrogen peroxide in the bag, granted that hair care stuff probably has a higher concentration but I wonder if you'd get the same results.

The paint you used is safe for food and can stand the acids in citrusfruit? Otherwise better not use the juicer...
