Despite being a dictatorship, and the other surrounding countries are republics or democratic monarchies, Spain, as shown in the video, was not as backward as it is intended to be believed when we lived in Franco's time. What a beautiful car for tourists

That's absolutely true. The dictatorship had both pros and cons, and both should be remarked.

I will never know what life was like in Spain during the Franco era because that was before my time. However, I have met quite a few people from Spain and none of them had anything nice to say about Franco’s government so from them and what they’ve told me, I gather that it wasn’t a very good time for Spain. This video only covered a small part of Spain and from watching it, it’s hard to tell how the general public felt. I can certainly say one thing from this video, Francoist Spain certainly was way more advanced and had way better living standards than North Korea and Afghanistan have today.

@@matthewtorok-smith1967 I mean, the last think is completely obvious. Franco's dictatorship was divided in three eras, the first and second where bad lets say, but the third one was pretty damn god, what an economy increasement, it's called the economic miracle, Spain was one if not the best place to live in Europe during the 60's. The only issue was that, well, still a bloody dictatorship.

@@matthewtorok-smith1967 Yeah, we have a very bad conception about Franco, which we should, but we should also know the good things he did, so that we can improve from that and not start calling fascist to anyone who just tries to maintain the country unified, for example.
