I guess Doc made these cars famous. True racing legends. In their hayday Hudson hornets dominated stock car racing often holding the record for the most wins in a single season. But I guess as time went on the toilet Hudson hornets got outdated as newer and faster cars were developed. Eventually even the stock cars we know today are going to be replaced by some next generation race car. For NASCAR it's all about business

@Adrian Vegas that can go either way I think. Look at the Bricklin and the 48 Tucker they are some what widely known without a high gross movie attached to them. I know Tucker has a movie though but I never seen it and I still know about it. The history behind the cars especially DeLoreans for my case really got me interested in the car and not a dumb bttf movie. So I guess it depends on the person. But finding classic cars and falling in love in wanting something you just have to go searching for it.

@Adrian Vegas well I’ve always been a car buff fanatic and love interesting history. I’m 26 years old and I’ve never really connected movies with cars. Guess I’m the strange odd one lol. I connected the 48 Tucker since it was a similar story to what happened with John DeLorean. So I guess you are right about the average joe wouldn’t know much about it. But when a cool car is put into a movie I swear it’s the cars curse. People go OH YOU ONLY BOUGHT THAT CAR BECAUSE OF BTTF!!!! No I love it’s history and the styling of it.

The only difference between this car in tye video and doc is if he revved this car any higher he would have thrown a rod. Doc is non existent.

well, when I was a kid we were a Hudson family. we had Hornets, Wasps, Super Sixs and a Commodore. The HANDLING and low end Torque was the standout feature. our Hudsons would go around a corner like 20 MPH FASTER than any other car except something foreign like a Jaguar or something like that.The Hudsons had an oil filled clutch and mechanical redundant brakes. The whole line was Very advanced for the time.
