Those "Twin-H" air filter canisters seen here were used on the 1955 and '56 AMC Hudsons with "Twin H" as they have the paper filters (versus oil bath or gauze) and rounded ends at the carburetors. Nice '53 Hornet drive and thanks for sharing!

I own the '49 Commodore from the "On the Road" movie. Sounds nothing like this due to the SBC that was swapped in for the movie. I still want a Hornet to park next to it. I like the dash & grille design better from the later cars. She looked & sounded mint!

I believe the engine was stone cold, it sounded like it was cold, I have no reason to doubt anything, but everybody in a cold start video slapping their hand on the engine as proof is getting silly. Either get a digital temp gun and show us a measurement with numbers on a screen that the engine matches ambient temperature or just say I'm an honest guy, take my word for it, and start the engine.

Yeah, actually I started that trend six years ago, it I believe that it's the most effective. You simply can't hold your hand to the exhaust manifold of an engine that's at operating temperature, unless you want to get burned. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Just taking the word of an "honest" guy that's selling a vintage car isn't good enough for me.
