Sad that such an industry has ended ,,, distinctive, beautiful and practical design !!

My dad had a 1950 f2 that he drove from California to Indiana in 1970. It's still around today, my son's friend has it.

Don't know why this video of 5 years ago popped up, but I'm glad it did. I had never heard of this Ford truck and had no idea that all-wheel-drive was available in the early '50's. Thank you.

I bought 51 f-3 back in 1982. It was my daily driver for 8 years, hauled fire wood with it and 4 wheeling the Rockies. Still have it and was still running when I parked 25 years ago. Love these trucks.

Marmon - Herrington suspension and drive-line parts, an 8-foot bed and a Flat-Head V8 on a '52 F3... What's not to love about this thing? lol If I saw one of these in a scrap-yard, as long as it hasn't been used as a parts-donor, it's gonna be a "shut up and take my money" kind of situation.

Me too. Must've missed a few grease and oil changes since '48 because my chassis is creaking, the air intake clogged and fuel pump seems to be failing.. Nice looking F3.

Wow ,much nicer then the 52 my neighbors had. It did have the original tires (and air) , and 26k on the clock. But she was no show queen, oh no. She's a farm truck they bought new. No brakes , even the parking brake is toast. If you wanna stop, turn the key off. The old man was a pro at ending up 6" from the elevator to unload the hay. At least the windshield is "intact". That flatty sounds good when you rev it out ,with the non existent exhaust. Seats are there , just move the blanket some so you don't get poked by a spring.

All Wheel drive meas it's always in 4 wheel drive which means it would have to have a Transfercase in the tansfer case..
@robwiljas3 жыл бұрын
This is AWD. It's driven by all four wheels and has a "compensator" which allows the front wheels to turn faster than the rear wheels in a turn so it doesn't bind up. Notice on the dash it has a label for the shifter for compensator or "powerdrive" mode which disables the compensator.
