Thank you for uploading this Detroit Lions championship winning game! The Browns had a legit chance but could not keep the Lions in their den. Marion Motley was a beast back then. Way to go Lions!

Back in the days when the Lions were a real good football team. Just win a modern championship before I die. #OnePride 🤦♂️

Meanwhile, in Holland, some goalkeeper on a semi-pro soccer team just booted it sixty yards.

He passed away. :-(

Lou Groza had injured ribs in the 1952 championship game, which may be why he missed 3 field goals that day.

The kickers were horrible, & I'm Glad some of those rules aren't valid in today's game...

The 1960's gave us the Kicking specialists. Pete Gogolak and Jan Stenerud were the 1st soccer-style kickers. Making the straight-ons obsolete and eventually extinct. Thank God

Roster size was just 33 in those days. No team could have a player that only kicked the ball. They had to find the best kicker among the 33 regular players. Specialization hadn't even come to the interior lines then, as every offensive lineman had to be able to play center, guard, and tackle, and every defensive lineman had to play defensive guard, tackle, and end, and in most cases every offensive lineman was also a defensive lineman.
