Welcome back. This video covers a few different topics, mainly painting and assembling the chassis and some minor metalwork on the cab. Apologizing in advance for the rather scrambled video. this is a customer build so there isnt much time to record and such.
I appreciate you all following along.

First time viewer and totally fascinated by this build. I have looked at a ton of restomods that are either for sale or previously sold on websites like Volo and have concluded that 3100s are my absolute favorites. I haven’t watched any of your other videos yet, but will. I have a couple of quick questions. Did you build the chassis yourself? Is the combo drum-disc brake to accommodate the e-brake? Looking forward to future videos. Thanks! 👍👍👍

thanks for watching. this is a customer build so i try to record and show progress on the build when possible. this truck uses its born with chassis as in my opinion its the best way to go except for a 25,000 dollar full custom chassis. it uses the mustang 2 front suspension kit sold by TCI with the power steering rack. the rear suspension is the 4-link kit sold by the same company. the kits can be bought with coilover style shocks or with air bags like on this build. I did the installation myself and have done some in the past. not to difficult. this truck is using the higher end Willwood disc brakes front and back, the rear discs have an integrated park brake. appreciate ya.

@@BrokenWrenches Thank you for the thorough reply! Curious what region of the country you’re located. Just as soon as I cash my MegaMillions or PowerBall jackpot ticket, I’ll be reaching out for a build of my own! 😉🤣

@@BrokenWrenchesBack again… You indicated the customer was still figuring out colors? Might I suggest a beautiful Acura color that I was spellbound by at a car show on the latest generation NSX… “Valencia Red Pearl”. It’s not an over the top sports car color… it’s a very classy slightly dark red. Mazda uses a very similar color as well. I’ve seen a few classic restos with the shade that look gorgeous. Thanks! 👍👍👍

I am getting used to your impressive attention to detail. The associated level of planning is breathtaking. How much free hand has the customer allowed? Is the young man helping family or hired hand?

hey, thanks for the comments and continued support. typically the most visible parts of most builds are chosen by the customer. i just have to figure out how to make it happen and put the puzzle put together. he’s a part time guy. volunteer firefighter like myself.

Boy I didn’t know you could bag a car like that. Impressive I see an air tank a lot of hoses, is that electrical connector for an air compressor? Are those drum disc brakes on the back? Neat how much easier it is to run hoses and stuff without the body on the chassis. Looks like you found a helper. Coming a long great. Stay cool

yea, he’s a part time guy. its much easier to build truck and other full frame cars. you can do most of the chassis work without the body. your correct on the brakes. there are quite a few more bits involved with the air bag setup. its all controlled from a handheld touch screen, or phone app if someone wants to.

@@BrokenWrenches Neat and it sounds like there’s an app for it on your phone. They keep coming up with more of those things.
