I have a 54 3100 with a torque tube rear. I am swapping it out with a 1955 3100 1st series rear non torque tube. I'm having trouble with the spring perches being different. I way to cut the ones off the 54 rear and weld them on the 55. But I can't find the bushings for the 54 perches. It's the same ones you have in you video. We're you able to find them???

It’s been a while since I was workin on this stock frame and suspension. I’m happy to help as much as I can. The rear has the hanger towards the cab of the vehicle and a shackle on the back of the vehicle. You mention a bushing and sim trying to figure out what part you are looking for exactly.

Thanks for sharing! Where did you get your parts? Any problems with the fitment? Going to do my 53 Chevy soon.

Hmm. It’s been a. While since I was doing this work. I ordered a number of parts from Brothers Trucks and had good success with them. The springs I did were from Westin Springs and I think I got them directly from that company. I wish I had a more concrete answer, but I think that part of the truck project was about 4 years ago now.

@@TheDriveTrain No worries. I appreciate the response! I've been told a lot of these aftermarket parts suppliers their quality can be suspect at times.

Yeah, I’ve certainly heard that as well. I think that is typically based around metal replacement panels (cab corners, floors, etc). These suspension and brake parts were all spot on.
