I was hoping you would talk about what I believe you called removing the "marshmello" affect in the doors that you did on your HT. I want to do that correction on my HT while I'm working on the doors. Any chance you could talk about how you did that on a video?

No. I only owned one 56 4 door hardtop and sold it before starting the build. Not familiar with that B pillar at all. Sorry man

Or the best way is to paint the top then clear it. Then tape it off then paint and clear the bottom. The cutt and buff all together and you will cut the line out never tell.

I know some won't like this but I got to ask. I want to do a 4 door to 2 door conversion eventually. Is there a particular type thats best?

It needs to be a sedan in order to do that. The roofline is the same between a 2 door and a four door sedan, just moving the b pillar. Get a set of two door sedan doors. Guys do it all the time.

You can get rid of the tape line. Do base coat clear do the top base then do the bottom base the clear the intire car together

I've been painting cars over 30 years. I even had my own body/paint shop. I've done exactly what you're saying many times in graphics and two tones. This car is getting single stage paint. I don't like the two tone break with just a tape line. That's why I'm doing the stainless trim. It's much classier that way.

How would you open a rear passenger door on a 56 chevy that is stuck shut?wont open from inside or out.

Sledge hammer or cutting torch. I'm kidding. If the upholstered door panel is off, you can soak down the latch assembly with WD40 or PB Blaster.. Try spraying it on the striker from inside the car between the door jamb and door structure. Pull up and down on the lock knob a few times to loosen it up.

I'm currently in the same boat. My issue on the passenger side only door. 2 door post car. It wants to touch were the door meets the cowl. Drivers is good. Suggestions?

Loosen the top hinge to cowl bolts ( 2 phillips and two 9/16 head size down inside cowl) and pull door out from cowl. You may have to bend the door post in after adjustment.

@@haffrods7055 here's a question I haven't seen asked or answered. The rectangular nut which houses both holes for the jamb bolts. "Two on each side" do you let them float inside the 3 prongs or bend over those tongs once fitment is good?
