1956 Chevy 3100 door alignment / lower fender mount repair

Fixing a poorly aligned passenger door which led to replacing the lower fender mounting bracket.
Prior to the work on this video I replaced the hinges and adjusted them to their limits. The door was still misaligned. This is how I fixed it.

I have been doing body work for 46 years. My brother has a 56 no rust ever Ca. truck and his doors were out of alignment too. They are quite difficult to get right and do require some compromise. To make perfect would require cutting and welding even when they were new I believe.

What's the back story on that truck? I've finally got around to getting started on mine. It's worse than that but don't have paint to bs me lol.
