Wonderfully restored station wagon! In the early to mid 50s Buick was on a roll, #4 in sales, chasing and sometimes passing Plymouth for #3. This wagon is a great example of how they did that.

It's been decades sinch I saw a Buick station wagon like this excellent '55. Buick sales were up in the fifties and as you stated sometimes passing number three Plymouth. Finding a car like this that is so rare and in such good condition is a thrill. Thanks ML. I'm glad you like this as well and also thanks for your comments.

$3,175.00 was a lot of money back then. My folks paid about $3,500.00 for their first home in 1953. This Buick wagon is a standout for sure. Thank you for sharing your passion for cars.

You can say that again ! The fifties produced some excellent cars and trucks in style and horsepower. And not these vintage American cars are sought after world wide. Thanks for enjoying !

Hi 55lincoln, Wow in 1955 that was some luxury vehicle. It spells luxury ,Buick station wagon would have been the ultimate in luxury wagons. I would love to know the history behind this . Maybe a movie star,maybe a big executive of McDonald's, could also have been a very wealthy family . This is one gorgeous car ,and I am sure it also has had a privilege life. If only it could talk. Yes, another example of a vintage car that makes you wonder just what kind of life it had. Who owned it. Where and when was it bought. I think this must have been garaged all it's life. What a pleasure to see a Buick wagon like this up close. Thanks Austin for liking.

My dad didn’t like the curves windshield when they came out. There was a friend of the family that shared sentiment.

I suppose your Dad always had a history of driving cars with those flat windshields. I can see why after years of driving why someone wouldn't care for that new fangled curved windshield. Thanks for watching this Buick wagon Mark.
