1956 Ford F100 Engine Build 312 Y Block part 2

Completed the engine assembly! Gots the heads on along with the intake, rocker assemblies and the distributor. We got oil pressure and oil up to the rocker assemblies! Next episode will be installation into the truck! Finally! Can you figure out what my favorite tool is?

Great build! Subscribed to your channel. One item you may want to investigate - those Mr Gasket fuel pressure regulators are known to leak. I would suggest you do some research on that, don’t just take my word for it.

Looks great but the can on the bottom of the fuel pump is for a fuel filter so you don't need a inline filter. I think the motorcraft number is FL1-A. Should have a spring under it.

An old Ford guru told me that the heads off a 312 y block did not have freeze plugs?

What parts did you use for the PVC installation in the valley pan? Currently am rbuilding a 312 also and want to go with what you have for crankcase ventelation. Thank you. Great videos, Love those y-blocks.

Couldn't find receipt, but I ordered a valve for a Ford 302 and a grommet for maybe the same. Did get them from Rock Auto.

Oh yeah, but there's still a dedicated contingent that seriously believe the Small Block Chebby was a communist plot to derail the Why Block. By the way, knowledgeable Y builders know the 292 block offers superior structural integrity due to larger main cap to block surface area.
