This is game 1 of a double-header. The Dodgers come in 22-14 on their way to an 84-70 third place finish. The Pirates, in the last of their really bad seasons of the 50's were 10-25 on their way to 62-92 and 7th place. But things were soon to change for them.

How funny to hear Vinny plugging Lucky Strike cigarettes as the sponsor. The Duke hits HR and hear Vinny talking about Sandy Koufax pitching 2nd game of this doubleheader. So MANY Dodgers that came to L.A. the next year, 1958.
