can't wait to see a video about 1/4 glass. Thats what im stuck with on my project. how did you attach the upper part of the rear door to the roof? weld it to the bottom of the drip rail?

Hi,really informative video and you explain everything very well but could please explain how you built your B post please ? And got the correct “roll out” of the front door shut of the B post ,( does that make sense ?) Keep up the excellent work 👍👍

Ken Hollywood thank you. I cut the inner door away but left the rear door long. I then mounted the front door and pushed it closed as far as I could and then took a sharpie and followed the lines of the front door on the under lap of the rear door then I opened the front door and slowly cut on my sharpie line. It took some open shut and repeat to get it perfect but take your time and cut slow leaving extra material to work with until you get the desired body line

How long did this process take ? I am thinking one winter ? How much are 4 door triple 5 chevys selling for these days ? guess it depends on engine, running or not, and rust and completeness...

i did it in two months. most 4 doors in my area which is basically northern utah is about 2k to 4k

When you welded the rear door/new quarter on did you close the rear gap flush? How does the placement of the door affect the use of 2door trim that fits at the bottom of the window? If your off by 1/8 inch does the trim piece still fit?Should a guy have the correct trim he wants to use at hand,and adjust the rear door gap to suit? If I try this conversion I was thinking in the area of the rear door opening to first weld a spacer the length of the door opening so the gap is closed.It could be set in the thickness of the door skin so its flush for welding.Just a thought. Thanks for putting the video up.

i cut the inner door from the outer door and removed all the latches and YES i welded the door to the quarter panel FLUSH. The measurement from the tail fin to the beauty mark id the exact same as the 2 door so the work you do in fabrication to your new 2 door door will make the difference. i would infact have the trim you want at hand to make your job in fabricating easier and make for a better fit
