Great video! I am doing something similar with my 56. I have 2, 2 door fronts, that are swiss cheese, and a set of descent 4 door fronts. Im using the skins and last several inches of the 2 doors, and the hinge section and most of the inside structure of the 4 door fronts.

Does nobody make a kit to do this yet? I'd think there are a ton of guys who want a shoebox two door. Is the wheel base the same? Even templates would help.

T Dalb yes there are but they are costly because they come with Both full quarter panels inner panels and the new doors. If you do a google search for 4 door conversion you'll see what I'm saying but it's like 7 grand

Yea sure I'm cool with that . How many time's have we seen a really sweet clean 4 dr and said Wow why can't we find em like that in a 2dr ... Well yea sure nobody want's to intentionally drive around in a hot rod 4dr anything...and I would love to make a few ..I was interested once in turning my 78 Malibu wagon Hot Rod into a Nomad .. but yes it's certainly doable .. If your worth your salt with a baby Mig your ahead of the game already ...But what I'm wondering is how it will effect Car prices for the guy's out there who are going to argue it's a Butchered 4dr ? I see a headache in the distance

its easier to find a 2 door car to start with.The cost of fab and time to have it done is more expensive.I can fab and weld Sheetmetal but the labor of fitting is too intensive and time consuming and chances are it will sit for months or years as a back burner project waiting for finishing.
