I guess the long winters up there really lend themselves to a lot of time in the garage working on projects. The Chevy is looking great, once again you've made a hard job look easy and I like the way you've tweaked the process, learning from the other side. It's always a great feeling when you can stand back and know that you did it all yourself. I'm hunting down all your other vids now. You have a no-bullshit approach which I really appreciate. Thanks, from Australia.

@oldcarsaverjones51245 жыл бұрын
Awesome work!!! I did this on a 56 Oldsmobile-I used the center post from a 2 door, saved a lot of work. When I seperated the rear door skin, I left the door latch and door frame of the latch on the rear skin- it was easier using the rear latch to hold the rear skin in place and gave a little more inner strength. In the future, you could get the 2 door rear stainless moldings to give it that perfect conversian look.

i’m quite Impressed with your work and progress for only 1 guy in a week ! one of the coolest mods or Changes i saw on a 2 door conversion was the guy used a hardtop from i believe a Buick that had a curved 3 widow rear on it i think the conversion helped him kind of hide or distract any other not 100 % factory specs of the 2 door not that it matters much as usually the owner / builder knows of the minor differences and we tend to be too hard on our selves as Craftsmen i’m a retired Woodworker and if i didn’t point out any flaws or mistakes in my handmade Furniture nobody noticed and sure as hell they were there i just knew how to disguise them from years of working in the business and building things for others

Delighted to see your progress!! You are certainly very talented and tenacious. I've been following for some time and commenting on the 57 because back in the 60's when I was in High School my Mom had a 57 identical to yours and I always dreamt of it being a two door. Back then if it wasn't a two door it wasn't sh%$. No one was interested in 4 drs and it's only been a couple decades that people are doing the conversion. You do it so effortlessly you should have a second income for guys who can't, you're great at it. All my best, keep up the good work we'll all be watching.

I'm the guy from germany, Bavaria who has a love for 4 doors, especially 4 Door Hardtop's and i'm restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice 4 Door Hardtop still in the moment... And when i see your work at this one were you made this 2 Door conversion i've to say Wow, that's really nice done i'm afraid about to see more of this project, please ☺ I was asking me, If it's also posdible to convert it in a 2 door Hardtop. Or also a 4 Door Sedan in a 4 Door Hardtop....🤔 Because i think that's not less work, and also the need for all parts like the windows, another mouldings && to do this... Nice greetings, Till 👋🍀☺
